Seaview 180 V2

Review

The Seaview 180 V2 is a great choice for snorkelers who are wanting to film their underwater excursions. The unique shape of the mask, with the snorkel to the side, rather than in the centre, means that the camera mount and camera remain in the water whilst using it.

Despite the snorkel being to one side, the mask fits securely on the face and doesn’t move, even without the balance weight of a GoPro. This is thanks to the strong, heavy-duty straps and secure silicon skirting.

The seals and silicon skirting of this mask are secure and watertight, however they can be uncomfortable. The Seaview 180 V2 full face snorkel is also highly recommended for people with beards as the skirting fits tight to the face and ensures no water enters the mask.

Although the Seaview 180 V2 has a lot of great features and is suitable for men with beards, this full face snorkel mask is not one of our favorites as it can be difficult to put on and uncomfortable to use.

If this is your first full face snorkel mask we recommend going with another option like one of the Ocean Reef masks that we have reviewed.

Do we recommend it?

Yes, we recommend the Seaview 180 V2 Full Face Snorkel Mask, with a caveat.

The Seaview 180 V2 provides snorkelers with an excellent 180° panoramic view underwater and is an excellent choice for advanced snorkelers looking to try full face snorkel masks, and especially those wanting to film their experience.

The seals are heavy-duty and the silicon skirt is the best for those with beards, remaining watertight.

After trying and testing around 10 other full face snorkel masks, the Seaview 180 V2 mask stood out due to its innovative technology and watertight seals. We tried this mask various times and put it through lots of tests, in which it scored well.

Strangely though, after asking a few newbies to try it, they complained that it was awkward when putting on.

For this reason we recommend the Seaview 180 V2 full face snorkel mask for advanced snorkelers, especially ones with beards.

The Seaview 180 V2 full face snorkel mask has a unique design that allows for a more even distribution of weight. With a unique shape, the Seaview 180 V2 Full Face Snorkel Mask is great for those who want to use a camera as the mount keeps the camera under the surface.

Although the snorkel is on the side of the mask, the balance remains evenly distributed.

The silicon skirting and dry top snorkel ensure no water enters the mask. The anti fog technology is well designed.

Despite that, we had some issues with this full face snorkel mask. Read on.
