Sliding pockets with a defined locking step
The standard Monorail pockets slide into the BCD’s rails. Learn how the pockets lock and release before loading them for a dive, and check the fit of the selected XS harness independently.
A modular Hydros Pro 2 with the standard inflator
This Scubapro Hydros Pro 2 selection is Black / XS with the Balanced Power Inflator, or BPI. It combines back inflation with a molded Monprene harness, an Ergo-Lite backplate and the Super Cinch 2 tank band. The supplied Monorail weight pockets are a central part of its layout.
Understand the Monorail system
The pockets slide into their mounting rails and lock in place. The retailer describes one-handed insertion and release, but the mechanism still needs to be learned and checked before diving. Confirm that each loaded pocket is properly seated, using the current manufacturer procedure. A sliding weight system is not a reason to skip that check.
A harness designed around drying and adjustment
The fabric-free Monprene harness and quick-drying bladder are practical features for a diver who packs equipment between trips. They do not promise that a wet BCD will dry instantly in every climate. The modular layout and accessory attachment points also suit a diver who wants to configure where small accessories are carried without assuming that all mounts are included.
The Ergo-Lite backplate and Super Cinch 2 tank band are the named support and cylinder-attachment components. Assess their fit with your cylinder and exposure suit, alongside the XS harness size.
Check the included package
The selected package lists standard Monorail pockets, sternum link plates and a BCD carry bag. It includes BPI; an AIR2 alternate inflator regulator is a separate configuration. Compare complete packages on that basis rather than treating the two inflator names as interchangeable.
This selection is Black / XS. The retained retailer evidence does not establish an XS-specific lift figure, so the family’s approximate lift claim is not presented as a verified XS specification.
What divers ask about the Scubapro Hydros Pro 2 BCD, w/BPI — Black / XS before buying
