• Boots: Improved rubber compound with five times greater abrasion resistance. If you dive from rocky shores or climb boat ladders frequently, this matters.

• Hook and loop tabs: Now made from thermal plastic urethane (TPU), which grips only to its matching surface. This stops the tabs from catching on your undersuit fabric accidentally.

The Seal and Neck System

The neck seal setup on the D1X is one of its more thoughtful details.

It uses the QUICK NECK ring from SI TECH, a flexible ring that follows the natural curve of your shoulders rather than sitting rigidly. This matters for comfort on long dives and for divers who have had neck seal issues with stiffer systems.

The ring accepts latex, silicone, or neoprene neck seals, so you are not locked into one material. The suit ships with a silicone neck seal installed, and a spare silicone neck seal and wrist seal are included in the box.

At the wrists, the D1X uses the SI TECH QCS Oval ring system, a quick-change seal setup with oval-profile silicone seals pre-installed. Changing a seal does not require glue or a professional. For divers who dive enough to wear through seals, that convenience adds up.

Fit, Mobility, and the Anatomical Design

Waterproof refers to this as their Advanced Performance Program (APP). In practice, it means the arms, legs, and torso have been cut and shaped to follow body geometry rather than being straight tubes of fabric.
