The Ocean Reef Neptune Space G.Divers is a full face mask with a built-in second stage regulator. That means you breathe through your nose or mouth naturally, the way you do on land, without holding a mouthpiece between your teeth.

If you are a certified recreational diver who finds standard regulators uncomfortable, experiences jaw fatigue on longer dives, or simply wants a more natural breathing experience underwater, this mask is worth serious consideration.

What a Full Face Mask Actually Changes

With a conventional setup, you wear a separate mask over your eyes and nose, and hold a regulator mouthpiece in your teeth for the entire dive. On a long dive, that clenching adds up.

The Neptune Space G.Divers removes that entirely. The mask seals around your whole face, and the regulator is built directly into the unit. You breathe freely through your nose or mouth without thinking about it.

This also means your entire face stays dry and warm, which matters in cooler water or on back-to-back dives.

The Regulator Built Into the Mask

The integrated second stage is balanced and adjustable. A balanced regulator delivers consistent breathing effort regardless of your depth or how full your tank is, which is the standard you would expect on any quality recreational regulator.

The adjustability lets you tune the breathing resistance to your preference, something not all integrated designs offer.

The regulator is nitrox compatible to 40%, which covers the full recreational nitrox range. If you dive on enriched air nitrox to extend your no-decompression limits, you do not need to make any modifications.

Fit and the Skirt

Visibility and Fogging

Harness and Removal

A six-strap head harness holds the mask in place. More straps distribute the clamping force more evenly around your head, which helps maintain the seal without over-tightening any single point.

The straps are detachable and secured with buckle closures. Quick-release pulls let you remove the mask rapidly if needed, which is an important safety consideration with any full face mask. You should practice this removal before diving.

Construction

The mask is manufactured in Italy and assembled in the United States. The body materials are rubber and silicone. At 3 pounds, this is a heavier unit than a standard mask and regulator held separately, which is worth factoring in if you are carrying gear a long distance to the water.

Who This Mask Is Not For

If you are a brand-new diver still in open water training, most certification agencies require you to demonstrate skills with a standard mask and regulator before using a full face mask. Check with your instructor before purchasing.

Full face masks are also not suitable for technical diving that requires switching between gas mixes mid-dive, as the integrated regulator makes that process far more complicated than with a standard setup.
