Hardware and Adjustment

All straps use squeeze-style side-release buckles, which are straightforward to operate with gloves on. The sternum strap includes a built-in signaling whistle, a simple but genuinely useful safety tool at the surface.

The Ritetite buckle on the waist strap is a two-position cam design that stays in place while you thread the strap through it. For anyone who has wrestled with a waist buckle that keeps shifting while gearing up, this is a small but real improvement.

Torso-adjustable shoulder straps and an adjustable waist strap with cummerbund give you a precise fit across different torso lengths and body shapes. The BCD comes with a standard 3/8-inch threaded inflator hose, compatible with most regulators.

Construction

The outer shell is 500/420-denier Cordura nylon, a woven fabric known for resistance to abrasion and tearing. The air cell inside is urethane-laminated. Both are standard materials for quality recreational BCDs and hold up well to regular saltwater use.

Dry weight runs from 6.1 to 7.1 lbs (3.1 to 3.4 kg) depending on size, which is reasonable for a jacket with this many integrated systems.

Who This Is Not For

If you are looking for a back-inflate or wing-style BCD for better horizontal trim, the Tina is not that. Jacket-style BCDs distribute air around the sides and back, which suits most recreational divers but is not the preference of divers who prioritize a flat, head-down position.

It is also not designed for technical diving configurations. There is no provision for a backplate or wing swap, and the integrated weight system is built for single-tank recreational use.
