The ScubaPro Everflex Steamer 3/2mm is a full-length neoprene wetsuit designed for recreational divers heading into water between 60.8°F and 75.2°F (16°C to 20°C).

What the 3/2mm Thickness Means for You

The "3/2mm" refers to the neoprene thickness across the suit. The torso uses 3mm of neoprene where you lose the most body heat, while the arms and legs use 2mm, keeping them thinner and more flexible where movement matters most.

This is not a suit for cold water. Below about 61°F (16°C), you would want something thicker. But in its rated range, it gives you meaningful warmth without the bulk and stiffness of a 5mm or 7mm suit.

Fit and Flexibility

ScubaPro built the Everflex Steamer around what they call their Pure Design Concept. In practice, this means the suit is pre-shaped to follow the natural contours of your body rather than lying flat like a cut piece of neoprene.

• Single blind-stitched inner seams: smooth against bare skin, so you are not feeling a raised seam edge throughout the dive.

"Blind stitching" means the needle does not pass all the way through the neoprene, so there is no stitch hole creating a leak path. This is a step up from flatlock stitching and appropriate for the temperature range this suit targets.

The Inner Lining

Inside, the suit uses a Diamond Span lining designed to drain water away rather than hold it against your skin. A second lining layer sits over this, adding stretch and making the suit noticeably easier to pull on and take off.

Getting in and out of a wetsuit on a boat deck, often in a hurry, is one of those small frustrations that adds up over a diving trip. The two-layer lining system addresses that directly.

Zipper and Entry

The Everflex Steamer uses a diagonal rear zipper with a YKK YKK slider and KA brass hardware. YKK is a reliable zipper standard in dive gear, and the brass slider is chosen for long-term durability rather than the look.

A compression-molded flap runs along the zipper and doubles as a spine pad. It reduces water entry at the zip line and adds a small amount of back protection, which is useful when you are gearing up against a tank or a boat rail.

There is also a small zipper at the neck. This is a comfort detail for when you are on the surface or between dives, letting you open the collar without pulling the whole suit down.

Certification and Build Standard

The suit carries a Class C certification as a dive suit. This is a European standard that confirms the suit has been assessed for use in the temperature range stated. It is not a marketing label; it means the thermal rating has been independently verified.

Who This Suit Is Not For

If you regularly dive below 60°F (16°C), this suit will not keep you warm enough on its own. You would need a thicker suit or a drysuit for those conditions.

It is also worth noting that this is a men's suit. Fit matters more in wetsuits than in almost any other piece of dive gear, so if you are between sizes or have an unusual build, try before you commit if at all possible. A wetsuit that gaps at the neck or bunches at the knees loses much of its thermal benefit.
