The Cressi Palau SAF uses a short blade and an open-heel strap, with a soft elastomer foot pocket intended for barefoot wear. This listing is the Pink XS/S pair. Its purpose is a compact swimming and snorkeling fin with an adjustable fit, rather than a full-foot pocket that fixes your heel in one closed size.

Barefoot fit with an adjustable heel

Cressi designed the pocket to accommodate several neighboring foot sizes. That flexibility is useful when adjusting the strap around a bare foot, but it does not mean every Palau SAF size fits everyone. The selected XS/S still needs to match the wearer’s foot; use Cressi’s sizing guidance rather than assuming the strap can compensate for an unsuitable pocket.

The soft pocket and open heel are the important combination here. If you normally wear substantial dive boots, confirm the fit separately instead of assuming a fin designed for barefoot snorkeling will accommodate them.

A short blade for a compact setup

The blade extends from the top of the foot pocket, and its short format makes the fin relevant to travel, swimming and surface snorkeling. Choose the format around those activities and your packing space rather than comparing the Palau SAF only by the length of a larger dive fin.

Using the pull-tab ring

The heel strap has a pull-tab ring to help move the strap when putting the fins on or taking them off. Cressi also describes the ring as a place to clip the fins to equipment. The adjustment and pull ring are separate from the selected size: check both pocket comfort and heel retention before use.

When comparing offers, keep Pink and XS/S together. Another color or neighboring size may share the Palau SAF name while being a different selected variant.
