What Makes This Edition Different

This is not simply a rebranded Ace Pro 2 with a sticker on it.

The MM93 Edition ships with Marc Marquez's trademark number and a custom nameplate, but more practically it includes a curated bundle of motorcycle-specific accessories and a dedicated MM93 Stats Dashboard design inside the Insta360 app.

That dashboard pulls speed, angle, and acceleration data from your phone's GPS or a third-party device and overlays it directly onto your footage in a custom visual layout. If you already use a Garmin, Apple Watch, or COROS device, the app can pull stats from those too.

Image Quality: What the Specs Actually Mean on a Bike

The sensor is a 1/1.3-inch chip shooting through an f/2.6 aperture lens. That is a large sensor for an action camera, and it matters most in two situations riders face constantly: low light and high-speed motion.

The headline resolution is 8K at 30fps, which gives you extraordinary detail for any shot where you want to crop in or reframe in post without losing sharpness.

For everyday riding footage, the more practical modes are:

• 4K60fps Active HDR: Shoots with extended dynamic range so bright sky and shaded road surface both hold detail at the same time. Good for sunny day riding where contrast is harsh.

The 157-degree wide-angle lens (13mm equivalent in 35mm terms) is wide enough to capture the road ahead, your hands, and peripheral scenery in a single POV shot. That width exaggerates the sense of speed, which tends to work well for riding content.

The 2x zoom function works at 4K resolution without any quality loss, according to Insta360. It is a tap on the touchscreen rather than a physical zoom, so you can use it quickly while adjusting your shot.

Stabilization and Audio

Motorcycle vibration is the enemy of clean footage. The Ace Pro 2 uses FlowState stabilization with a 6-axis gyroscope, and includes Horizon Lock, which keeps the horizon level through cornering and rough surfaces.

Audio on a bike is equally difficult because wind noise at speed drowns out everything else. The MM93 Edition includes an integrated Wind Guard that snaps on and off, which Insta360 describes as a first for an action camera. The camera also runs updated audio algorithms with three microphones and dedicated Wind Reduction, Voice Enhancement, and Stereo modes.

For motovloggers, the camera pairs via Bluetooth with a range of motorcycle headsets including Sena, Cardo, ASMAX, and Lexin models, with dual-track audio recording supported across all of them. You can record your helmet mic as a separate audio track from the camera's own microphones, which gives you flexibility in the edit.

The Flip Screen and Mounting System

The 2.5-inch flip touchscreen is a practical feature for solo riders. You can rotate it to check framing before you set off without needing to guess what the camera is pointed at. It is rated to perform in bright sunlight, which matters when you are outdoors and glancing quickly at a small screen.

The magnetic mounting system is designed for fast swaps between positions without tools. The included accessories in this edition are selected for bikes:

Charging to 80% takes 18 minutes with a 30W fast charger (sold separately from the camera, though the spec sheet lists a full charge at 47 minutes via 30W). Full charge via 5V/3A takes 75 minutes. With two batteries in the box, you can keep one charging while the other is in use, which is genuinely useful on longer rides or touring days.

Practical Details

The I-Log color profile is worth noting if you plan to color grade your footage. It captures a flat, wide-dynamic-range image that gives you more to work with in editing software compared to the baked-in looks.

AI Editing and the App

The Insta360 app handles most of the post-ride workflow. AI Highlights Assistant scans your clips and generates a highlight reel automatically. Auto Editing assembles a short video from your footage with a single tap.

FreeFrame Video is a practical feature for anyone posting to multiple platforms: you shoot in a 4:3 aspect ratio and then export the same clip in horizontal or vertical format without re-shooting.

Road Mode is worth enabling on longer rides. It manages storage automatically by overwriting older footage when your card fills up, similar to a dashcam loop, so you do not need to manage files mid-trip.

Gesture control lets you start and stop recording without touching the camera, which is useful when you are wearing gloves and cannot easily operate a small button.

Who This Is For and Who It Is Not

The MM93 Edition is a strong fit if you ride regularly and want to document it with serious image quality, if you motovlog and need clean audio from your helmet headset, or if you tour and need a camera that can run all day across multiple batteries without fuss.

It is not the obvious choice if motorcycle riding is not your main activity. The included accessories and the MM93 branding are specific to that context. The underlying camera is the same Ace Pro 2 hardware, but the bundle is built for the road. If your priority is surfing, skiing, or general travel, a different Ace Pro 2 bundle without the motorcycle accessories may suit you better.

The camera also requires a microSD card, which is not included. At 180Mbps maximum bitrate and 8K resolution, you will want a fast, high-capacity card to avoid bottlenecks.
