What the 2.5mm thickness means for you

A 2.5mm wetsuit is a warm-water suit, not a cold-water suit. It gives you a thin layer of thermal protection and some shielding against sun, stings, and reef scrapes, without making you overheat in tropical conditions.

If you are diving anywhere cooler than about 24°C (75°F) with any regularity, you will likely want something thicker. The Bahia Flex is not the right choice for temperate or cold-water diving.

Fit and freedom of movement

Who should look elsewhere

If your dives regularly go below 24°C, you need a thicker suit. If you dive in cold water, a drysuit is the correct category entirely. And if you want maximum stretch and the most flexible possible neoprene, suits made from smoothskin or higher-stretch limestone-based neoprene will outperform a standard double-lined suit like this one, though typically at a higher cost and with less durability.
