Sun Divers Roatan, in Half Moon Bay on the West End of Roatan, Honduras, has launched a three-tier Eco Academy that bundles PADI certifications with conservation training as fixed-price course packages.
All three tiers run four days with a single package price:
- Eco Explorer, $840: PADI Open Water, Peak Performance Buoyancy and PADI AWARE Specialty certifications, six open-water dives, instruction, eLearning and ScubaPro rental equipment.
- Eco Adventurer, $805: PADI Advanced Open Water, Enriched Air Nitrox, and either PADI Dive Against Debris or Roatan Marine Park Lionfish Hunting certification, six open-water dives, instruction, eLearning and ScubaPro rental equipment.
- Eco Leader, $925: Emergency First Responder, PADI Rescue Diver, Emergency Oxygen Provider and PADI AWARE Shark & Ray Conservation Specialty, three open-water dives, instruction, eLearning and ScubaPro rental equipment. You can add the Roatan Shark Dive to the AWARE specialty for $50, subject to availability.
Every participant is also introduced to the Green Fins Diver E-Course.
Sun Divers’ pricing page lists prices in USD per person and says a 15 percent Honduran sales tax applies. It’s not clear whether the $10 annual Roatan Marine Park fee, transfers or lodging are included in these packages, so ask Sun Divers before booking.
