What It Is and Who It Suits

Most dive computers do one thing: track your dives. The Suunto Ocean does that, but it is also a daily-wear sports watch with 95+ sport modes, offline maps, and smartphone sync. The Display

Dive Functionality

It also supports wireless tank pressure, meaning you can pair it with a compatible transmitter on your regulator first stage and read your tank pressure directly on your wrist. That removes the need to check a separate console gauge during the dive.

Dive logging is built in, and the data syncs to the Suunto App on your smartphone. Post-dive, you can review depth profiles, bottom time, and surface intervals without manually transcribing anything from a logbook.

Battery Life

The rechargeable lithium-ion battery runs for up to 40 hours of dive and exercise tracking. A charging cable is included in the box.

Forty hours is a strong number for a device that is also running GPS, sport tracking, and maps between dives. On a liveaboard trip or a multi-day dive holiday, you should be able to get through several days of diving and surface activity without anxiety about the battery running out mid-dive.

Beyond Diving: The Sports Watch Side

The 95+ sport modes cover activities well outside diving: running, cycling, swimming, and many others. The watch also carries free offline maps, which means navigation without a phone signal when you are hiking between dive sites or travelling in remote areas.
