What’s Special About this Package
Golf has a surprisingly long tradition in Hawaii, beginning around the turn of the 20th century with the establishment of the The Moanalua Gold Club. Since then, golf has continued to grow in Hawaii – the state now houses over 70 courses between the islands. The Troon Island Hopper package offers the best Hawaiian golf experience as it allows you to try several different courses on this golfers’ paradise.
The Troon package includes stays and rounds of golf on three different Hawaiian islands: Maui, Kauai, and The Big Island, including 9 nights of accommodations at 3 different luxury resorts, 7 rounds of golf on 7 different courses, and rental cars at each new island. It truly reads like a golf enthusiast’s dream.
While food and beverages are not included in your stay, this is by far the most inclusive golf package we have seen with 7 rounds of golf and access to a rental car included in the price of your stay.

We’ve already covered Mauna Lani, the Hawaiian Island resort. This resort has a beautiful spa, three amazing pools, and a private beach to spend some downtime.
At the Maui resort, The Ritz-Carlton Kapalua, golf is the main attraction. The resort is home to some truly iconic, “bucket list,” golf courses. The resort offers the standard luxuries of pool, spa, and private beach as well as other ways to stay busy like tennis, complimentary cultural classes, or shopping without stepping a foot outside the resort.
Last on their lineup is the Kauai resort, Timbers Kauai Ocean Club. Again, golf is the main attraction at this resort, showcasing the longest stretch of oceanfront golf in Hawaii. The Timbers Kauai Ocean Club is full of dreamy leisure, with oceanfront dining, infinity pools, and beach access. There’s plenty to do here if the goal is to relax.
What to Eat
We don’t imagine you’ll want to venture too far off the resort grounds after a long day on the golf course. Luckily, the Troon Island Hopper package chose some really incredible resorts, with no shortage of good eats at any one of them.
As we covered in the Mauna Lani review, there are six restaurants on site to choose from. You can even arrange private dining experiences. The three main restaurants on resort grounds are the fine dining, Japanese-inspired CanoeHouse, the poolside, go-to lunch spot Halani Restaurant, and the casual, craft cocktail spot, Ha Bar. The resort also has a small market that offers quick grab-n-go options.
The Ritz-Carlton Kapalua has a handful of excellent food options on the property including the vibrant Banyan Tree restaurant, which features unique and sustainable ingredients. They also have a beautiful breakfast spot called “Ulana,” which provides open-air dining with a view.
The Burger Shack is there when you need a quick and/or casual bite; serving burgers, milkshakes, beer, and other comfort foods. Patio seating is available, or you can get it packed up for the beach.
Timbers Kauai Ocean Club seems to only have one restaurant on the property, but it packs a punch. Hualani’s Restaurant has a focus on freshness, and curates a seasonal menu that is dictated by the food. This fresh and varied menu is coupled with a stunning oceanfront view making for a memorable dining experience for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
