What’s Special About This Resort
White sand, turquoise water, a warm tropical breeze — what else could you wish for from an all-inclusive adults-only resort in Cancun? Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera is all of this and more. Popular among couples on their honeymoon, it boasts an impressive range of amenities that will elevate your romantic getaway.
What To Do
From luxurious pools to relaxing couples massages and live musical performances, there isn’t a shortage of things to do. Take a dip in the infinity pool, get an oxygenating facial, and attend a beach party all in one day.
The resort has twelve small pools, two expansive pools, and two outdoor hot tubs. A spa, a fitness club, and recreational activities like snorkeling, kayaking, and tennis are also a part of the all-inclusive package. Click here to see what else Secrets Maroma offers.
If you’d rather spend time in the water, consider snorkeling, scuba diving (for an extra fee), and kayaking. You can also challenge your partner to tennis or a golf game if you’re the competitive kind. Bring cash or another form of payment since there’s a mandatory service fee when the guests come to play at one of the golf courses.
What To Eat
A big fan of seafood? Go to Oceana restaurant. In the mood for an Italian dinner? Portofino has you covered. If you want to try it all, check out the buffet-style international restaurant World Cafe for lunch or dinner.
You can get a custom cocktail at Rendezvous or a tropical cocktail at Palapa Beach Bar. If you don’t feel like getting out of the pool for a refreshing drink, the swim-up bar Manatees is at your disposal every day from 10 AM till 6 PM.
Things we like:
-
Hospitality is great, and the staff goes out of their way to ensure your visit is pleasant
-
Premium drinks are included in the all-inclusive package (except for wine)
-
There are plenty of food options, including freshly-squeezed juices for breakfast and tons of cuisines to try for dinner
-
Swim-up suites are clean and spacious (worth the $), and so are other rooms at the resort
-
You’ll never get bored thanks to the numerous activities offered, including kayak tours, snorkeling trips, and yoga classes, among other things
-
No taking over sunbeds when you are not there, thus giving everyone fair access to the beach and its facilities
-
The beach is stunning, and the water is perfectly swimmable
Things we don't like:
The room service menu mainly consists of American dishes
There are no mid-afternoon food carts with snacks
The Barefoot Grill restaurant would benefit from a larger grill to accommodate more people and avoid customers queuing in the sun
