Making Traveling Smooth
We went traveling with this set. From packing to check-in to carry-on and being to arrival, the Level 8 luggage set made things smooth.
As we’ll unpack further, these lightweight suitcases offer features that demonstrate a design by travelers who know what works.
They pack well, roll well and seem to survive well too.
Lightweight durability
The Level8 Elegance Textured Luggage Set 20” and 26” are Germany Bayer Makrolon Polycarbonate-made.
Meaning, they are hard shell luggage with a robust yet lightweight build. This material is also proven to be scratch-proof. You can also go into downpours without worrying about your valuables getting wet. It is possible with this hard shell luggage’s micro-diamond texture.
We took it for a walk down the block with rain pouring, and it did keep everything inside safe and dry!
Now, there’s the forever debate whether you should get hard shell luggage or a soft case one. The answer will still be down to your preferences. But we’ll guide you through a quick lowdown.
Hard shell luggage best protects your items in case of impact. But of course, they come in heavier builds. It can be a little tricky if you’re trying to put one in the overhead bin (try your best not to hit other passengers!). And mind you, hard shell luggage won’t give you much extra space beyond its capacity. But it’s sure to last for a long time.
On the other hand, the soft case type does give you more room for a couple more extra shirts (more if you know the trick). But this type is prone to tearing. They’re water-resistant only and vulnerable to impacts.
Level8 Elegance Luggage Textured Set 20” and 26” are (again) made with polycarbonate. It is more durable (although heavier) than ABS and won’t suffer from dents like it would with aluminum.
In short, this set of hard shell luggage by Level8 found the right spot between durability and design.

Your feature-jammed travel buddy
You have three options on how you can carry Level8 Elegance Luggage. By the 4-level aluminum telescopic handle and roll with it. Or you can grab both hard shell luggage by the side or top rubber grip. Just sneak in the telescopic handle back to the slot by clicking its button sitting at the top of the plastic grip and then push it down. You’re good to conquer the stairs without any trouble.
It was ok carrying the 20″ luggage for everyone, but the shortest among us (5’1″) struggled with the 26″ one. So if you’re shorter, rolling the 26″ Level8 hard shell luggage is the best way to go. For you all with a big build and enough strength, you can easily carry both, each with one hand.
Rolling them is a breeze anyways. Its four rubber-padded double-wheels make pulling/pushing smooth. Plus, they have 360-degree rotations. You won’t have that terrible shopping cart swivel annoyance. No locking. No rattling.
No-problemo with the YKK zips as well. Level8 Elegance Luggage 20″ and 26″ are sealed with this world-renowned zip. And no, this isn’t just any brand hype. Closing and opening the zips had no bumps, whether on the outside or inside. There’s also a subtle Level8 branding on the pull tabs.
Both these hard shell luggage has a built-in TSA-approved 3-digit combination lock. The outer zipper pulls can rest by the locking system for extra security. When TSA officials need to inspect your belongings (hopefully no need for that), they won’t rip out the locks. And if you have a different security lock, your entire hard shell luggage will be damaged. So that’s nice.
Level8 Elegance Textured Luggage Set 20″ and 26″ are not the best of the rest. Finding the “perfect” hard shell luggage is next to impossible (if not impossible). But with its overall performance, this set from Level8 exceeded what we expected.

Roomy enough for a lifetime of travel
If you know how to pack wisely, you can fit in everything you need for a life of traveling in this hard shell luggage set. That’s 38 liters (20″) plus 88 liters (26″) for a total of 126 liters!
But considering their dimension difference, they need to go separate ways. One can stay as a carry-on, while the other needs checking. And you know already which is which.
Common denominators
Here are a few common points that you’ll find in both the 20″ and 26″ Elegance Textured Luggage:
- Clamshell design with polyester lining.
- Mesh dividers on both sides with double zipper pulls.
- Two zipped pockets on the left mesh divider.
- The right side has a nylon luggage strap with a quick-release buckle under the mesh.
26” Level8 Luggage
With a dimension of 27.6″ x 16.1″ x 13.2″, this hard shell luggage can’t go aboard the plane. But the space it offers you can fit in your necessities for a long-term journey. Or if you’re an over-packer, that’s down to 15-20 days. If you’re traveling as a family of four, you can get a good 5 to 7 days of supply here.
Any bulky gear can go in this hard shell luggage. Not every airport handles your check-in luggage with care. So for those items you know can take a bit of beating, they need to stay here. Hiking boots, thick clothing, your tripod. Anything! As long as they’re not electronics, lithium batteries, your meds, jewelry, and anything highly flammable.
The mesh divider on the left comes with a couple of zipped pockets. It’s one of the best places inside the luggage for small items. It’s the space for your socks, undies, scarf, ties, and hand towels.
We managed to sneak in 2 medium-sized and large Salkan packing cubes in this 26” hard shell luggage from Level8. And that’s just on one side! Double it up to cover its 88-liter capacity, fully loaded.
20” Level8 Luggage
At 14.6” x 9.3” x 21.5”, the 20” hard shell luggage from Level8 is a good fit for all your techie stuff. You have the green light for this one as carry-on luggage. Everything valuable and fragile needs to be here. Sneak in your USB cables, small DSLR, and mouse by the mesh pockets on the left.
It can accommodate and secure your laptop. My 16″ unit laid securely here. With extra cushion from the clothes, plus the nylon strap to keep it all tucked (not too tightly though!). We managed to stock up four shirts, four undies, a couple of jackets, three pants, and a couple of small packing cubes. If you want to stay more organized, using two medium-sized packing cubes for each side (a total of 4) will help you. It’s more than enough to last for a 3 or 4-day trip, maxing out its 38-liter capacity.
Rock the airports with both the 20” and 26” Level8 Elegance Textured Luggage. They’re more than enough for every single thing you need as you live the jetsetter lifestyle.
Just prepare for those who’ll surely bat an eye on you. This set of hard shell luggage looks sleek. Like you’re some elite. Now, if you want to stay low-profile, a travel backpack might be better for you.
Level8 Elegance Textured Luggage Set 20″ and 26″ are some of the best hard shell luggage out there. It gives you lots of space. It’s durable, lightweight, and waterproof.
Plus, if anything happens to your hard shell luggage, Level8’s lifetime warranty is there for you.
Both the 20″ and 26″ are easy to use. The rubber-padded double-wheels rotate smoothly and roll quietly.
For roughly $330, you won’t regret this 2-in-2 hard shell luggage deal from Level8.

Frequently asked questions
Remove everything inside your Level8 hard shell luggage. If there’s anything detachable, you can remove them as well. These removable parts tend to be washable and only need air drying.
When cleaning the exterior, start with spot cleaning as a test. Grab a washcloth and use warm water with mild soap. Starting at the bottom of the hard shell luggage is possible. If you think it worked and didn’t cause any damage, you can carry on with the remaining sections. Finally, wipe off any soap residue using a clean damp fabric.
It depends on what you’re looking for.
For sturdy hard shell luggage that’ll stay for ages, aluminum-made is for you. Durable but not too heavy, polycarbonate ones won’t let you down. Polypropylene is lightweight but not so solid, while ABS hard case luggage is the cheapest.
But the king of durability would still be aluminum hard shell luggage.
