What’s Special About This Resort
A place to both wind down but also have a little fun, the Hyatt Ziva resort is suitable for families and couples alike. It has pools with swim-up bars, designated family areas/programs, plenty of nightly entertainment, fantastic food and drink options, and even a dolphin pool (yes, that’s exactly what it sounds like)!
What To Do
Enjoy the beautiful pale beach a few steps away from the resort or mingle in one of the infinity pools while sipping on a nice cool drink. Get out of your comfort zone and take a dance class or brush up on your Espanol with Spanish lessons.
Take your kids on water adventures like snorkeling, kayaking, and paddle boarding… or drop them off at the Kids Club or Teen Lounge while you get a yoga sesh in at the 24/7 fitness center.
There’s no shortage of excitement and entertainment when the sun goes down. Nightly entertainment includes dance shows, live music, and dazzling acrobatic performances the whole family will love.
The all-inclusive package at Hyatt Ziva Cancun includes unlimited food and drinks from 10 restaurants and 7 bars/lounges, as well as 24/7 room service. The package also includes access to 3 on-site pools, non-motor water activities such as kayaking, paddle boarding, and snorkeling, all daily activities, and nightly entertainment. A more detailed description of what’s included can be found here.
What To Eat
For a quiet and romantic date night, visit the adults-only La Bastille, where you can indulge in delicious French cuisine. You might also consider getting a table at Lorenzo’s Italian-inspired restaurant or snag a front row seat at The Moongate teppanyaki grill.
Of course, the kids gotta eat too! Order some tried and tested chicken tenders at Chevy’s, and afterward, get them (and yourself) a treat at Pastele’s dessert parlor.
Your vacation to Mexico wouldn’t be complete without a little tequila, so head on over to the resort’s Juana Margarita tequila bar for a taste of Mexico’s famous libation.
Also unique to Hyatt Ziva is Tres CerveZa’s – an upscale microbrewery where you can chill out with a beer in one hand and a tasty appetizer in the other.

-

-

-
You can watch daily dolphin shows (included) and even swim with dolphins (for an extra fee) at the on-site dolphin pool
-
All the amenities of the sister hotel (Hyatt Zilara) are also included
Things we don't like:
Amenities at the sister hotel (Hyatt Zilara) are adults-only
The pool cabanas need to be reserved and are not included in the all-inclusive package
Rooms tend to be smaller compared to other resorts
Nightly programs out in the pool area can get loud and be heard from some rooms
It’s a very large complex with many stairs and steps throughout, so it may be difficult for seniors or handicapped guests to get around
