Room Guide
Note that Hotel Xcaret Arte considers all of its rooms to be suites – even those that are standard size, so don’t get confused when browsing the categories on its website. These are the main room type differentiations.
Garden, River, and Ocean Suites: These spacious 645-square-foot (60-square-meter) rooms are modern and luxurious, with spacious balconies and hammocks to enjoy whichever of the views you’ve chosen – the tranquil gardens or Quintana Roo jungle, the emerald-green river that reflects its colors and beckons you for swimming, or the azure Caribbean Sea. The latter has a hot tub in the room.
Spa Suites: Available in the Casa de la Paz building, with garden and river views, these rooms have the easiest access to the spa. They also have volcanic stone tubs on their balconies to enjoy the tranquility of the space as well as steam features in their showers. Junior Suites are available in this configuration as well.
Swim-Up Suites: Certain Garden and Ocean Suites open up directly to the swimming pool, allowing guests to step right in off of their terrace. The Ocean version has access to an exclusive swimming pool.
Junior, Master, and Presidential Suites: Junior and Master Suites double and triple the square footage of standard rooms, respectively, offering a ton of extra living space for luxury-seeking couples or larger groups. Views include river and ocean, which can be enjoyed from the spacious balcony or the jacuzzi on it. Presidential Suites offer multiple bedrooms and volcanic stone tubs on their balconies.
Special Experiences
The Xcaret Hotels bundle their adventure park experiences with your stay. You get unlimited access to all 8 parks with up to 200 attractions during your stay – this is a huge advantage to staying at any of the Xcaret Hotels – Xcaret Arte, Xcaret Mexico, or Casa De La Playa – as you can explore some of the region’s most spectacular and unique natural attractions.
Xcaret Parks
Xcaret is the name of the main park, and it’s just down the river from the resort, making access very easy. Its name means “small inlet” because this is where the Caribbean Sea flows into the land, filling crystal-clear river beds, deep caves, and exotic cenotes. The Xcaret park takes advantage of all of this amazing nature and the history that surrounds it, creating a theme, water, amusement, eco-archaological park, and much more – essentially, the ultimate Quintana Roo playground.
Xel-Há is another beautiful spot on the river further south and offers more aquatic activities, with boardwalks connecting caves, cenotes, and swimming holes, as well as slides and ziplines to complement the nature. It has particularly great snorkeling, and swimming with dolphins.
However, to go deepest into the flooded caves and caverns, Xplor will be a do-not-miss – there are thousands of feet of underground paths, along with activities above the surface like ATVs and ziplines into cenotes. At night, this park turns into Xplor Fuego, and lights up these exciting attractions with torches and bonfires.
If you’re willing to venture a bit further north, towards Cancun, you can partake in some of the most thrilling activities in Mexico at Xavage. These are some of the most intense ziplines and rope courses of the parks, plus adrenaline-pumping activities like white-water rafting and monster truck rides.
You can easily combine a day at Xavage with an evening at Xoximilco, which is a tour that takes place right next door. It’s a floating fiesta on flat-bottomed boats with live entertainment, tasty Mexican food, and a bar.
An interesting experience different from the others can be found at Xenses, near the main Xcaret park, which is full of optical illusions and sensory experiences. Finally, Tour Xenotes is the final inclusion, and is ideal for visitors curious about the exotic cenotes Qunitana Roo is known for.
The Caribbean Sea offers endless opportunities for thrills in the water, with fantastic diving and serene beaches – take a day trip to islands like Cozumel or Isla Mujeres for some of the best. Alternatively, catamaran cruises for sunset or snorkeling are available for a shorter special experience.
Finally, take advantage of the surreal natural surroundings at the Muluk Spa, where treatments can even take place in natural caves. Besides massages, facials, and relaxation, other special amenities include a traditional Temazcal vapor house and a flotarium with mud and salt rooms.
