What’s Special About this Resort
A short trip from Grace Bay towards the northern tip of the island, you’ll find what they call “the most exclusive address in Turks and Caicos,” the beautiful Blue Haven Resort and Marina. Under the same ownership as The Alexandra Resort, you can expect the same beautiful facilities and the utmost level of service.
The building has a beautiful Mediterranean vibe that truly feels like an escape from reality. The picturesque destination makes for stunning photos and would be an ideal venue for a wedding or comparable celebration.
Much like the sister resort, The Alexandra, kids stay free at Blue Haven. While the resort doesn’t necessarily make a point to cater to kids, it is certainly a resort the whole family can enjoy. From lounging in the infinity pool with a cocktail from the swim-up bar to racing through the water on a kayak, you have the freedom to spend your vacation however you see fit.
Meals at any of the resort restaurants, domestic and premium beverages, use of the water trampoline, snorkeling gear, kayaks, sailboats, paddle boards, and more are all included in your stay at the Blue Haven Resort. Available at an additional fee, they have kiteboarding lessons and rental, windsurfing lessons and rental, mangrove guided tours, paddle board yoga, sailing lessons, and more.
Things we like:
-
Resort grounds and facilities are gorgeous and idyllic
-
Tons of options for water sports (though not all are included in the price of your stay)
-
Kids stay free
Things we don't like:
-
The spa services and facilities are outdated, underwhelming and not included in the price of your stay
-
The resort is located on a marina, so if you don’t like looking out at sailboats and yachts we’d recommend one of the other beachfront resorts
What To Do
Everything that is available to guests at the Alexandra Resort is also available to guests at Blue Haven. This includes access to the water trampoline, kayaks, paddle boards, snorkeling gear, and Hobie cats, all included in the cost of your stay. Additionally, you can rent windsurfing equipment and kiteboarding equipment and get lessons from professionals for an additional fee.
Complimentary bikes are provided by the resort to ride for pleasure on the property. Also available to guests at an additional fee is the only golf course on the island, just a ten minute drive from the Alexandra Resort. The 18-hole par 72 course houses a pro shop and a casual clubhouse. There is also some good shopping in the area for gifts, souvenirs, clothing, and more.
The Blue Haven Resort coordinates what they call “Caicos Dream Tours,” which unfortunately are not included in the price of your stay. That being said, many guests recommend splurging for the exciting excursions like a snorkel and conch cruises, a private fishing charter, or a private charter with a completely customized itinerary.
The Spa at Blue Haven is fairly new and admittedly a bit underwhelming. Where most of the resort is idyllic and luxurious, the spas missed the mark and seem a bit dated in both treatments and aesthetics. Also, to make matters worse, none of the spa treatments are included in the “All Inclusive” rate. We’d recommend spending your money elsewhere and perhaps finding another spa on the island.
What To Eat and Drink
Dining options are fairly limited at the Blue Haven resort, but the food is sure to leave you satisfied.
Fire and Ice
Fire and Ice is the fine dining destination at the Blue Haven resort, offering dinner six nights a week and a gourmet brunch on Sundays.
Salt Restaurant & Grill
The Salt restaurant features a menu full of delectable Italian dishes with a coast view. Indoor, air-conditioned as well as outdoor seating is available. The Bar Salt Grill is a more casual option with ocean views of all the docked boats and a breezy, open-air atmosphere. The menu offers elevated bar staples like fish and chips, burgers, and wings.
The Market
The Blue Haven resort also boasts a full market, with all the staples you would find at your local grocery and then some. The deli cooks to order fresh sandwiches, pizzas, and other delicious grab-n-go items.
In addition to the restaurants at The Blue Haven, transportation is complimentary for guests to and from their sister resort, Alexandra Resort, where there are additional, ample, dining options.
