What To Do

We have already mentioned the beach, but it’s definitely worth mentioning again. The beaches at Grace Bay are some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, and you could justify spending all of your vacation time parked in a beach chair without any semblance of FOMO. In addition to being the perfect place to relax, the gentle waters are awesome for water activities like paddle boarding, snorkeling, and more. The Beaches Resort provides the necessary gear for snorkeling, kayaking, paddle boarding, and even provides instruction for those who need it.

If you’re seeking a more thrilling way to experience the waters of Turks and Caicos, the Beaches Resort offers water skiing, tubing, windsurfing, and more – all included in the price of your stay.

For kids and teens, the resort provides a good helping of fun. The “Pirate’s Island” waterpark is the main attraction at the resort, boasting 45,000 square feet of fun with waterslides, splash pads, a wave pool, and a lazy river. The waterpark is open to kids of all ages, and life jackets are available, though there are height restrictions on some of the waterslides.

For Teens, there is an Xbox gaming lounge, as well as a game room with the usual analog staples like foosball, ping pong, or billiards. The resort also hosts a nightly “night club” for teens called “Liquid,” where all can dance and mingle with other travelers.

What To Eat and Drink

The Beaches Turks & Caicos Resort is home to over 20 restaurants and bars, with the additional food truck here and there. Ranging from fine dining to kitsch, from Italian to Caribbean, the Beaches Resort will have you spoiled for choice and agonizing over where to eat next. With so many to cover, we had to pick a few that stood out:

Neptune’s

If you’re looking for fresh seafood and a Mediterranean flair, you’ll find it at Neptune’s. Raved about in countless guest reviews, Neptune’s is a seaside bistro sitting in an open-air dining room. As elegant as it is casual, this is a great option for any meal during your stay. Open daily from 7:30am – 9:30pm for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with breaks in between meals.

Arizona’s

For those seeking a little more spice, head to Arizona’s for some southwestern cuisine. Like many of the dining options at the Beaches Resort, Arizona’s is an oceanside, open-air restaurant that allows you to fully enjoy the scenery. What begins as a buffet for lunch turns into a la carte dining in the evening, featuring delectable Tex-Mex options like bourbon baby back ribs or pulled pork. Open from noon to 9:30 pm daily.

Jerk Shack

You can’t visit Turks and Caicos without trying some Caribbean style food, so Jerk Shack has you covered. Far more casual than Neptune’s or Arizona’s, Jerk Shack is more of a stand right on the beach with picnic tables nearby for dining. Don’t let the casual presentation fool you, Jerk Shack still packs a flavorful punch with its authentic jerk and usual accompaniments. They’re open daily from 11 am – 5 pm.

Sky

Sky is a fine dining option for adults hoping to have a night to themselves. The restaurant is located on a rooftop, providing gorgeous views of the Atlantic Ocean and unparalleled ambiance. The food is as intriguing as the scenery offering a blend of Caribbean and Italian influences. While it’s not required, we highly recommend getting a reservation ahead of time. Open daily for breakfast and dinner, from 7:30 – 10:30 am and 6 – 9:30 pm.

All cocktails are made from premium liquors, and of course, all of the food and beverage is included in the price of your stay. We recommend booking some of your dining in advance, as seating is limited. Also, it’s worth mentioning, some of the nicer restaurants have a dress code, so you might need to pack something nice to wear that isn’t your swim trunks.

Room Guide

You might notice that there are a whopping 51 room types at Beaches Turks & Caicos – great for finding the perfect fit, but not so great for those who don’t want to look through them all! Luckily, they can be broken down into four different “levels” that come with various amenities and extra services. It’s better to choose which of these you’re most interested in and then look at the various bedding, view, and size options.

Luxury Level: The entry-level rooms at Beaches are definitely luxurious, with high-end furnishings and a spacious balcony. You can choose between one king bed and two double beds, and views are of the pool or tropical garden. There are also ground-floor rooms with walkout terraces.

Concierge Level: The next level up is also referred to as Club Sandals, with private and personalized service from the moment you arrive, as well as access to a club lounge. There are standard rooms with king beds in this category, but the decor and furnishings are a bit more modern and luxurious. However, most rooms on the Concierge Level are suites, ranging from one to three bedrooms in size; some have special kids’ rooms with bunk beds. This level also includes ocean views, along with views of the garden and pool.

Butler Level & Together Nest Suites: Personal service goes one (or many) steps further in Butler Level rooms, which are all suites, ranging from one-bedroom penthouses to four-bedroom beachside villas with private pools. Your personal butler will handle check-in, unpacking, dining reservations, keeping your beverage supply stocked, and much more. They can even set up a private dinner on your patio, with the ability to bring dishes from any outlet. Together Nest Suites are exactly the same as Butler Level suites – this is just how Beaches categorizes rooms that are great families who want to be secluded in luxury.

Special Experiences

Being on one of the world’s most prized beaches, Grace Bay Beach, is already special enough, and any visitor to this piece of paradise should be taking full advantage of it. Beyond the complimentary watersports like paddleboarding, kayaking, hydrobiking, and snorkeling, you can arrange for a boat tour of the more distant cays and reefs. One favorite is a trip through the crystal-clear mangrove shores. Divers will not want to miss the chance to dive one of Turks and Caicos’ famous reef walls.

There’s also plenty of special entertainment at the resort when the sun goes down for adults and kids alike. Sesame Street stage shows, fashion shows, and talent contests take place every night, while older kids have the awesome opportunity to party and make friends at the Liquid teens and tweens nightclub. Parents will be having their own fun with the local music performances and cuisine; plus, Liquid nightclub turns over to the adults after a certain hour.

For couples in search of romance on their trip to Beaches, a private dinner under the stars is the perfect way to spend an evening away from the kids. This is even included in your room if you book on the Butler Level. Otherwise, this can be arranged in places like a pier or in the sand. Your private waiter will take care of every detail.
