What’s Special About This Resort
Set alongside the Caribbean Sea, Azul Beach Resort Riviera Cancun is a highly-rated family resort in Cancun that prides itself on offering first-class service and plenty of amenities. Six idyllic pools allow you to soak up the sun while sipping a margarita.
What To Do
Hanging out at the pools isn’t the only thing that will catch your attention — there are pilates and stretching classes, spa treatments, and tequila tastings (for an extra fee). You can spend your day being active at the gym, doing yoga, getting pampered at the spa, or chilling by one of the many pools — the choice is yours.
Azul Beach Resort offers eight on-site restaurants, eight bars, six pools, and one spa. The resort also has playhouse programs, a teens club, and a splash park. See all the experiences it offers here.
Some on-site clubs for kids and teens provide the guests with healthy snacks and drinks and fun activities like interactive gaming rooms and discotheques.
What To Eat
Go to Le Chique for innovative Mexican cuisine and Spoon to try out dishes from across the world. Have dinner at Tapaz to enjoy meals family-style or Siena if you’re into Italian dishes.
Check out Zavaz for a taste of Caribbean cuisine and Zocalo for homemade guacamole or specialty tacos and Mexican cuisine. Visit Zocalo Al Fresco and Pizza Pizza! for a hearty lunch.
Things we like:
-
The pools are big, and there are several of them (6) to choose from
-
There’s a variety of kid-friendly activities, including a splash park, a teens club, and playhouse programs to keep them occupied
-
The on-site boot camps are great, thanks to the lovely staff
-
The staff is friendly and welcoming
-
Although the menus can be limited, the quality of food is great
Things we don't like:
It can be tricky trying to find a free chair at the beach or pool because many people wake up early, save theirs, and don’t show up until later in the day
If the resort is busy, you might not get the room you originally booked
There’s a lot of seaweed at the beach that has a strong and, at times, unbearable smell
Some of the rooms are somewhat dated
