For the construction of this TYR Swim Cap, 80% recycled nylon and 20% lycra fiber were used. The 1″ high by 3″ wide swim cap is offered in five vibrant colors and is manufactured specifically for recreational swimmers. A Reliable Swim Cap
The TYR Lycra Swim Cap is a lightweight, durable, and easily wearable product that is ideal for recreational swimming in warm water. You can, however, use this swim cap as an additional thermal layer under any silicone swim cap when tackling the harsh temperatures of colder lakes and seas.
The best feature, in our swimmer’s opinion, is that it can be donned with ease, as the material slips easily over your head and does not tug on your hair! This can be hugely beneficial to beginner swimmers who don’t necessarily know how to properly put on a swim cap without snagging their hair.
Our expert swimmer was in the cold waters of Brighton, UK this winter testing the TYR Swim Cap. He used the swim cap as a secondary warming layer under his TYR Sport Long Hair swimming cap and was able to swim for 20 whole minutes without a single brain freeze!
