Our swimmer is often involved in open water and pool swimming competitions so was super excited to try out the Arena Cobra Swimming Goggles. Leaks and fogging pose the main threats to your performance, Arena has designed these specifically to dissolve these key issues.

Arena’s new line of swimming goggles is sure to provide you with a comfortable and leak-free fit without taking away from your speed in the pool, making them ideal for long-distance competitions as well as sprint laps. They’re designed for competitive swimmers, so you know they had quality and performance in mind when developing this product.

They’re also equipped with relatively rare long molded side temples for superior stability and are superbly low profile (low volume), which is great for those who are looking for a frictionless and streamlined experience in the water.

Strap

The adjustable strap is both comfortable and long-lasting, guaranteeing your complete satisfaction. These goggles are perfect for competitive swimmers due to the silicone frame and strap that will not break down after continuous use in either pool or ocean settings.

The flexible dual straps secure a comfortable and snug fit for any head shape and will ensure that these swimming goggles won’t get knocked off your head at high speeds and prevent any kind of slipping.

The only drawback to this low profile secure dual strap design is that, while it is quite simple to lengthen and shorten the strap to your satisfaction, you will need to remove the goggles first to make any change. So, if you’re swimming a long distance open water race and start to feel the swim goggles are becoming uncomfortably tight or loose, you’ll have to stop and tread water while you adjust the strap to your liking.

Finally, the strap is long enough to accommodate all head sizes so anyone with long hair doesn’t have to worry.

Lens and Frame

The challenge is simple: when you’re trying to set record times while swimming laps, you want to be able to see where you’re going.

The Arena Swimming Goggles are a favorite among competitive swimmers because they have a hydrodynamic design which helps with reducing drag, but has also been proven to prevent leaks. Essentially, you still have to stop and tread water while you do this, but there is no need to spit or apply any additional product. You just have to take them off, and swipe the internal side of lens once to reactivate the anti fog technology – if you practice you can do this in under 5 seconds.

Price/ Quality Ratio

The Arena Cobra Ultra Swipe Swimming Goggles are available for around $60 which is admittedly not on the lower end of the price scale.

However, you should remember that these swim goggles are best for competitive swimmers who are likely going to want to invest in a solid pair that will enhance their in-pool performance.

The bottom line here is excellent quality.

Highly recommended.

These goggles are great for all levels of swimmers, children included, but especially those who are serious about competition.

Our swimmer has used these for weeks now, and not a single drop of water has been reported to have gotten in. The relative difficulty of the strap adjustment is the only real drawback, but other than that, they perform just as well as, if not better than, comparable models like Speedo or TYR that we have tried before.
