Burton Photon Boa

Vibram just makes better soles. Shoving off from the lift, the pushing foot sticks nicely to the board for good control down the off ramp. It makes a difference too when walking over iced paths.

For a mid flex boot with higher ankle cuffs, the Photon’s do that thing where comfort and control almost make you see a piece of equipment like an extension of your body.

Though not inexpensive, it’s a good beginner boot that should keep you satisfied as you start charging and challenging yourself.
