One of the most lightweight and compact boards on the market, the NIXY 9’6″ Huntington Ultra Compact iSUP is great for those looking for a transportable iSUP. It’s length of 9’6” makes it a compact board, even once inflated, however, the double fin setup at the rear of the board and it’s shape ensure it is stable and sturdy on the water.

With its NIXY G4 Backpack this board can be folded up small and easily transported. The backpack makes it easy to transport and fits all the NIXY package including pump and paddle, with extra space for personal belongings.

As well as being ultra-lightweight and portable when deflated, the NIXY 9’6″ Huntington Ultra Compact iSUP is easy to carry to and from the water once inflated. The handles at the rear and front of the board, as well as a central handle, make it easy to carry.

This small compact board does not compromise on quality. With dual layer advanced fusion laminated woven drop stitch technology used in its construction, this board’s strong materials create a sturdy and robust frame which is stable and can handle most water conditions.

Features

• Comfortable non-slip soft NIXY logo stamped, grooved, and UV protected traction pad provides extra grip when riding the paddle board. Soft and comfortable this mat is excellent for longer journeys and is comfortable when standing and kneeling on your iSUP.
• Triple grab handles, one in centre, and one at each end make it easy to transport the board to and from the water once inflated.
• Two sets of bungee cord tie-downs at rear and front of board to transport personal items, excellent for bringing belongings along for adventures on the water.
• Three M8 action mounts are placed at the front and rear of the board to attach extra smaller accessories such as cameras.
• 14 D-rings, good for adding extra accessories, handles or bungees.
• 2 detachable fins which provide excellent stability and tracking. These large fins make the board track easily and aid in the maneuverability of the board.

Accessories

The NIXY 9’6″ Huntington comes with a comprehensive package that includes a range of accessories such as, the NIXY G4 carbon fibre hybrid paddle, NIXY G4 Typhoon hand pump, NIXY hybrid leash and the NIXY G4 backpack bag for travelling. The board also comes with 14 D-rings for attaching smaller accessories and two bungee cord tie-downs at the front and rear of the board for carrying personal belongings.

• Paddle: The NIXY G4 Carbon Fiber Hybrid Paddle is a 4-piece adjustable paddle which breaks down into 4 pieces and fits comfortably in the G4 backpack. With a comfortable t-grip this paddle is lightweight and floats in water.
• Leash: The NIXY Hybrid Leash is a comfortable coiled leash specifically designed for paddle boarding. The coil in the leash keeps it out of the way when paddling and out of the water, reducing drag. The ankle strap is comfortable and fits well.
• Backpack: The NIXY G4 backpack is a heavy-duty nylon backpack. It has an extra padded back and straps, including a waist strap, ideal for carrying around comfortably. There are lots of pockets and a bungee cord for adding personal belongings and carrying extra accessories.
• Hand pump: One of the best accessories is the NIXY G4 Typhoon hand-pump. This dual chamber high-pressure triple action hand pump can inflate up to 29 PSI and has a mix of low and high pressure switches which make it a lot easier and much faster to pump your iSUP. The hand pump fits easily in the backpack and is lightweight, only weighing 4.37lbs.

• NIXY landing mat: The NIXY landing mat is made from 100% RipStop Nylon. This large landing mat is ideal for protecting your board and materials from getting scratched or dirty. The landing mat folds up into a small bag and is lightweight and easy to carry with your board. Four corner loops and pegs ensure it stays put and doesn’t fly away whilst you are out on the water.
• NIXY Ventus Universal Electric Pump: This lightweight, portable electric pump is an excellent alternative to the hand-pump. The Ventus Universal Electric Pump is a high-pressure pump which inflates up to 20 PSI. It’s active cooling tech means you can inflate multiple boards at a time without overheating. Included with the pump is a carrying bag, 12V cigarette lighter plug-in, optional 12V battery cables, flexible non-kinking hose and 7 nozzles. This electric pump is universal and can pump iSUPs, kayaks and dinghies easily, saving energy and inflating your iSUP effortlessly.

Stability

As an ultra-compact lightweight model with a smaller weight capacity and shorter board length the NIXY 9’6″ Huntington Ultra Compact iSUP is surprisingly stable. The dual fin set-up at the rear of the board provides extra stability when on the water whilst providing excellent tracking.

The use of high quality and lightweight materials ensure the board is sturdy and the dual layer PVC with added reinforced carbon side rails provide increased stiffness and durability. Even on choppy water, it does a decent job of maintaining grounding. But strong winds will push it and the paddler around a bit.

Maneuverability

The NIXY 9’6″ Huntington Ultra Compact iSUP is easily maneuverable and responsive on the water. This board is ideal for beginners because the board provides excellent stability matched with good maneuverability allowing riders to practice turns and maneuvers.

Smaller paddlers will have an easier time turning and propelling it.

Being lightweight, the NIXY Huntington tracks well in the water and more importantly is very receptive to movements and changes to tracking. The two large side fins at the rear of the board also ensure the board tracking is responsive as well as stable.

Portability

Most likely one of the most portable boards on the market, the NIXY 9’6″ Huntington is ultra-compact and lightweight. The board weighs just 18.75 lbs and is easy to transport both inflated and deflated. The dual layer PVC used in manufacturing the board ensures the board can be folded into a small package easily due to flexibility of the materials when deflated and fits easily into the G4 backpack.

Once inflated the board has 3 conveniently placed handles, one in the centre and one at either end, making it comfortable and easy to carry from the water as well as out of the water. Additionally, the board has many D-rings all along the length where handles or bungee ropes can be added making it very transportable.

We recommend the NIXY 9’6″ Huntington Ultra Compact iSUP board for all levels, including beginner paddle boarders. But it is not for heavier paddlers. We also recommend this board to anyone looking for a lightweight and transportable board, ideal for travellers or those with limited storage space.
