Good for Intermediate Riders

As the name suggests, the iRocker Sport 11’ can turn, surf and cruise really well for paddlers looking for a little more performance. At 31 inches it’s a little thinner, sacrificing stability for speed and maneuvering.

Adventurous paddlers with a little more experience, should definitely give the iRocker Sport 11’ SUP board a try. You’ll love all that it has to offer including the enhanced speed and the reliable construction as well as the board’s affordability.

We recommend the iRocker Sport 11’ for any paddle boarders, especially families and the increased weight capacity means that this board can afford an extra passenger. Additionally, the exceptional performance, stability and versatility of this board make it a great deal and one of the best paddle boards in iRocker’s more affordable range.

The Sport 11 is known for its sporty design that makes it both a fast and agile SUP. What makes it a hit-that-‘buy-now’-button-board for more experienced suppers is the performance and the quality features and accessories for which iRocker is synonymous. We won’t beat around the bush – scroll down to read more.

Features

  • The crocodile-textured deck pad is to die for. Not only does it give the board a visually-pleasing look, but it also helps with gripping. Top it with the large break placed between the middle and the back foot section, and you’ve got yourself a pretty sweet (and, most importantly, free-of-water) foundation to stand on.
  • The three quick locking fins – one in the center and two on the sides – are rigid and big enough to hold a good track. Remove the two sidefins and increase the iRocker Sport’s speed and maneuverability. Oh, and they are compatible with every iRocker SUP board too, meaning replacement fins are not a problem.
  • We love the 3 carrying handles with 6” length that make  transporting the SUP board to the water  that much easier. While they differ in width, you can rest assured that the extra padding built into them will provide you with the comfort you like.
  • Here’s something new from iRocker – the split deck with a back pad that includes a raised kicktail. The kicktail gives you additional traction and control when performing challenging tricks and making tricky turns without needing to look down for reference.
  • The 20 D-rings across the Sport come in handy. They make it easy for you to attach your favorite kayaking seat, a shoulder carrying strap for carrying the inflated board, and plenty of cargo potential. The wide cargo area in the front provides plenty of cargo potential – but if not, use the aft D-rings for even more cargo.
  • 2 safety handles attached to the forward D-rings are good for transport as well as for kids climbing up from the water
  • 4 action mounts are included too. Attach your GoPro camera, a waterproof Bluetooth speaker, or a fishing rod holder, and you can change the purpose of your paddling trip in an instant.

Accessories

We’ve always loved the fact that every iRocker SUP board comes equipped with everything you need to paddle in comfort. No exceptions. You know that you can book a weekend getaway at the nearby lake house the moment you receive the packaged board from the manufacturer.

Expect to receive the bundle that consists of the packable carbon composite shaft paddle, the triple-action pump with dual chambers, the coiled leash, the repair kit, the backpack, and the user manual with stickers. Not too bad for a paddle board under $1k, right?

  • Paddle: What’s better than a carbon blend shaft paddle with a pared down nylon blade? There are better paddles you can buy separately, but the one that comes with the Sport is light and comfortable. It’s strong and durable, with a slight flex that only increases thrust.
  • Leash: The iRocker leash does what it should. It’s coiled so as to stay out of the water and avoid dragging your speed down and it’s got the same colors that make the Sport pretty styling.
  • Full-Throttle Pump: The thick and flexible dual-chamber pump with triple action is included too. These are becoming standard, but this one does the job. In less than 10 minutes of pumping, you’ll have an inflated board that’s ready to be paddled.
  • Backpack: The pack added to the bundle has plenty of compartments to keep your paddling belongings organized. It’s also extremely comfortable for longer treks to the water. Color-matched to your SUP board, they feature a mesh pocket on each side, extra zippered pockets underneath the mesh, and a front bungee cargo area. It’s big enough to easily fit the SUP in without struggle. It does not have wheels, which make it lightweight
  • Repair Kit: The content of this accessory doesn’t change from board to board. You get the same set of patches, an inflation valve wrench, and three replacement lever locks for the detachable fins. Without a doubt, that’s a solid kit to have on board at all times.
  • User Manual: Those who are new to iRocker as a brand, you’ll get a lot of use out of the user manual and a quick start guide Sport comes with. And, well, the bundle wouldn’t be complete without some fun stickers that give you a sense of community.
  • Optional Add-Ons: If you’re still thirsty for more accessories (or are simply not against spending a couple of more hundred bucks on paddling knick-knacks), you can look into purchasing a Bluetooth speaker, a cup holder, an electric pump, a kayak seat kit, a camera mount, and a carrying shoulder strap. None of them will disappoint you

Stability

What can we say, iRocker prioritized maneuverability and speed over stability for its Sport SUP board. There’s hardly a competitor for it when it comes to cutting through the waves like a pro at the speed of the light.

But that doesn’t mean the board isn’t stable per se. The 31” width and the 11’ length can be more challenging for the novice, but the 231 liters of air pumped in gives it a firmness that beginners and tricksters will value. If you’re someone under 385 pounds who likes speedy boards, this one is for you.

Maneuverability

Here’s where iRocker Sport 11’ shines. Speeding up and pivoting on a dime when the paddler draws on the kick-tail is its second (if not first) nature. You can turn your wildest paddling fantasies into reality with this beast of a SUP board.

The reduced weight and the modified construction helped the board become the fastest from iRocker. While your feet are resting on the crocodile deck pad, your hands can be pulling in any direction, making you the speediest rider on the [river] block. We like that a lot.

Portability

The center carrying handle is the exact reason why the board is as portable as it is. Even if you’re paddling without a buddy, you’ll still be able to transport your iRocker Sport 11’ from the car to the water without putting too much effort.

The 25 pounds of weight aren’t too shabby either. In fact, they should be thanked for the superb mobility of the board. Whether you throw it in the trunk of your vehicle or stick it on the roof, this is one of the easier boards to transport.

The backpack and full package weight of around 35 pounds is a delight compared to other heavier boards we’ve tried.

Price/Quality

We consider the iRocker Sport 11’ SUP board a good deal. For the flexibility and durability it offers, there’s nothing you can complain about.

The high-quality PVC material is there, and so is the high volume and weight limit. If combined with the sizable set of accessories that comes with the board, you basically become a winner of a jackpot (in this case, a guaranteed winner).

Do we recommend it?

Adventurous paddlers with a little more experience, you’re welcome to give the iRocker Sport 11’ SUP board a go. You’ll love all that it has to offer starting from the enhanced speed and the reliable construction and ending with the reasonable price tag.

Those who like being outdoors with their families will enjoy this board too. Bring your toddlers and furry friends with you, and your next weekend in the countryside’s lake is set for success.
