Cool and Surprisingly Lightweight

BOTE has designed the Breeze Aero Native Eclipse to be lightweight, portable and affordable. Weighing only 28lbs the Breeze Aero Native Eclipse is lightweight, making it easy to carry when both inflated and deflated. Although it is lightweight the Breeze Aero Native Eclipse is made using the same military grade PVC with drop-stitched inner core that all the higher quality SUPs.

The high quality materials paired with the AEROultra technology makes this board rigid and sturdy, ensuring ultimate stability on the water. This makes it an especially good choice for beginner paddle boarders although it can definitely be enjoyed by intermediate and experienced paddlers.

Maybe this board is an upgrade on an entry-level, cheaper starter model. In this case, the Aero Eclipse  is a good step up. You’ll need a leash from your previous board anyway–BOTE hasn’t included one in this package.

Designed with lots of added features and details though, the Breeze Aero Native Eclipse is ideal for recreational weekend adventures. A large bungee attachment system at the nose of the board allows riders to bring along plenty of personal belongings. Additional D-rings along the board also allow riders to add plenty of accessories.

Although the Breeze Native Eclipse is a comprehensive package, it does not include a leash. We consider this a rather important accessory and would definitely recommend buying one to pair with your board. Luckily, BOTE has plenty of additional accessories, including leashes, which you can purchase when buying your board.

As an all round iSUP the Breeze Native Eclipse is rather fast. The shape of the board ensures optimal stability, as well as providing good maneuverability. The slight nose rocker helps the iSUP tread water in light chop and increases the stability.

Accessories

The BOTE Breeze Aero Native Eclipse iSUP is one of the most affordable BOTE boards. Especially when considering the full package of included accessories that comes with the purchase of the board.

Although the Breeze Aero comes with a comprehensive package we couldn’t help but notice it is missing a leash. We would definitely recommend purchasing a leash to complete the package, luckily BOTE has plenty to offer.

A leash is important when paddle boarding as it stops the board from floating far away if you fall in the water. In this way, it acts as a safety feature. We definitely recommend wearing a leash when paddle boarding, especially if you are a beginner paddle boarder, or paddling at sea.

The purchase of your BOTE Aero Native Eclipse iSUP includes:

  • Paddle: The BOTE board comes with a 3-Piece Adjustable SUP Paddle. The paddle is made from a mix of carbon fiber and fiberglass with an ABS plastic blade. The paddle is durable and sturdy. It is a rather basic paddle and is not very lightweight, weighing 30oz.
  • Removable Centre Fin: The Aero Breeze comes with a 3 fin setup; one removable 10” center fin and 2 molded side fins. The 10″ Removable Aero Center Fin provides good maneuverability and aids with the stability of the board.
  • Repair Kit: Aero repair kit has all the basic equipment for small, temporary repairs you may have to do out on the water.
  • Hand Pump: Included with the BOTE Aero iSUP is the single-chamber BOTE inflation pump. It is a basic pump and as it only has one chamber which is not as effective as other dual-chamber pumps on the market. Despite this, it is lightweight and small, convenient for traveling.
  • Travel Bag: All these accessories, along with the board, come with a large, durable travel bag. The BOTE Travel bag is made with high quality, resistant materials for optimal durability. The bag is large enough for all the equipment and is comfortable to carry on your back.

Stability

As an all round iSUP the BOTE Aero Breeze Native has excellent stability in the water. Its shape along with the durable materials ensures it is rigid and stable. For intermediate and experienced paddle boarders, the stability offers a smooth and comfortable ride.

The width of 33” provides excellent stability, ideal for beginners. The wider center does make it a little harder to perfect a good paddle boarding stroke, but for beginners it ensures enough stability to practice paddle boarding.

Maneuverability

The dimensions of this board definitely don’t make it one of the most maneuverable, however, considering its width and length this board still performs well in turns.

Making changes to the direction of the board is relatively easy and effortless however more complicated maneuvers like back step turns might be challenging. The tracking of this board allows you to keep your course while making minimal adjustments thanks to the 3 fin setup.

Portability

One of the factors that make this board so attractive is its portability. Weighing only 28lbs this board is lightweight, making it easy to carry around.

Once inflated the board has 3 convenient carry handles placed at the nose, rear and center of the board. These make it easy to carry to and from the water once inflated.

The durable, high-quality travel bag included with the Aero Native Eclipse makes it easy to travel with the board and its accessories. The travel bag is comfortable and thanks to the light weight of the board, it is easy to carry around on your back.

Bote Aero Native Eclipse Optional Accessories

Yes, we recommend the BOTE Aero Breeze Native Eclipse iSUP for paddle boarders looking for an affordable, portable and lightweight board. This is great for any paddle boarder who is looking for a comprehensive and inclusive iSUP package to get them out on the water.

We especially recommend this board to riders looking for a beginner-friendly, stable board for recreational purposes. It is also great for travellers who wish to travel with their iSUP and are looking for a lightweight, durable iSUP.

As a first purchase, beginners will enjoy this model, but they’ll need to buy a leash as well.
