Best Budget Binoculars Under $200
Nikon Action Extreme 10x50 ATB

Featuring a BaK4 Porro prism system and multicoated lenses, the Nikon Action Extreme 10×50 ATB renders high-resolution images in almost all terrains. Fog proof and waterproof, they can perform well even in rugged conditions. They are, however, pretty bulky.

The rubber-armored coating provides extra protection, especially in wet environments. They offer a non-slip grip for easy handling.

Meanwhile, the click-stop, twist-out mechanism of the eyecups allows for comfortable alignment. The eyepieces are easily adjusted to obtain the right eye relief and they hold so they don’t need constant repositioning. Nikon has also included an ocular rainguard to keep splashes, rain, and spray out of the eyecups.

As a bonus, the exclusive lead- and arsenic-free Eco-Glass™ gives you some peace of mind of reduced environmental impact.

The main issue with this pair of Nikon binoculars is the focus mechanism. It takes time to obtain the precise focus and if you’re not experienced in using binoculars, you might find the focus system quite taxing.
