Your Budget-Friendly Gym Bag
Adidas has taken the world by storm and is still doing so fighting with other popular athletic brands for best and best known. From apparel, bags, and shoes, you name it, Adidas has it in their artillery.
Their Diablo Small Gym Bag is famous for its competitive price and streamlined size. You get the perk of staying lightweight for a reasonably cheap tag. Whether you’re hitting the weights, off for soccer training, or boxing, keep your essentials within reach.
If you’re looking for a small gym bag that won’t dig holes in your pocket, this one’s for you. Because of its shape, it seems bigger than appearances. But don’t expect it to haul too much gear.

Construction and Design
Adidas Diablo Small Duffel Gym Bag ranks among the most simple compact models on our list. Nothing out of the ordinary, from its cut down to colorways. You can have it in Black, Intense Pink/Black, Jersey Onix Grey, Jersey White/Shadow Navy/Orange Rush, and Onix Grey/Black/Solar Red. The size is just right to fit inside your gym locker.
The color selection is relatively simple, but that’s a plus if you don’t want over-the-top prints. And if OTT designs tick your interest, Undeniable 4.0 has some fantastic options.
This Adidas small gym bag is polyester-made. It’s a durable, highly wrinkle-, stain- and water-resistant fabric. Although it’s heavier than nylon, polyester doesn’t shrink and retains its shape even after washing. Plus, they’re cheaper, making your pack more affordable.
Adidas Diablo doesn’t possess the toughest material, but it’s sturdy enough to carry your training essentials. For some next level of heavy-duty fabric, see King Kong Duffel served with 1000D nylon.
No one will think this bag rigid. That means, while it’s easy to fold up and away, it doesn’t offer much protection to items inside.
Another pitfall for Diablo small gym bag is its poor stitching, especially by the strap. Even for a small-capacity gym bag, the seams are not as strong as expected. They started to show signs of fraying after a few weeks’ use. It was a bit disappointing, but you can take advantage of Adidas’ 5-year warranty for repair.
For the most part, this small gym bag from Adidas is not a workhorse by build but rather an boon for light packers.

Harness System
The harness system of Adidas Diablo is pretty straightforward. The shoulder strap webbing and dual top handle are typical. Given the carrying capacity of this small gym bag, they perform just ok.
They are not detachable like in LBLA Waterproof Gym Bag, Suruid Workout Gym Bag, or PUMA Evercat Candidate. But for the next level of carrying experience, some of the comfiest are MIER Duffel Backpack and G4Free Gym Bag. They come with densely padded backpack straps for a balanced carry.
All in all, Adidas Diablo is a relatively basic small gym bag with a small capacity. The harnessing is plain and straightforward, and they achieve their purpose.
Not impressed? One of these gym bags is sure to sweep you away.
Storage
This small gym bag from Adidas has only one main compartment. It can fit in 31.5 liters of stuff: no built-in shoe compartment, no side or front pockets. You can access it via the 2-way zipper at the top. You can wear it on either your right or left shoulder without bumping into trouble while opening or closing. The wide access of Diablo provides you with a clear view of all your items.
Inside, we managed to fit in a professional-sized basketball. The spacious room of Diablo can accommodate multiple sets of clothing, a pair of shoes and flip-flops, plus a small makeup kit. Hit the weights without leaving anything behind. Bring your water bottle, towel, bar foam, and sweatshirt. It’s a small gym bag to keep you lightweight for your soccer training, even for your quick visits to the beach.
The only thing we wished this small gym bag had in the main compartment was a small pocket for keys. It’s a pain looking for it every time. Check out Everest Gym Bag and Canway Sports Gym Bag to save time and stress. Both have quick-access front pockets ideal for small items.
And since there are no side pockets in this small gym bag, your shoes and water bottles have to go in the same room. That doesn’t sound like a good idea for us and if you feel the same, opt for Boost Sports Gym Bag or VOORAY Burner Compact Gym Bag for a built-in shoe compartment. While Kuston Sports Gym Bag and Under Armour Undeniable 4.0 have a mesh side pocket for water bottles.
Keep in mind Adidas Diablo small gym bag is pretty roomy. It might not be for you if you expect to carry quite a monster of a load. A bigger Diablo or the more serious Adidas Defender could be an option. The Thule Chasm Duffel has the same simplicity but with bigger storage space too.
Still indecisive? See our main guide to help you choose which gym bag is best for you.
Summary
You need to accept some bargains with its affordability if you opt for Adidas Diablo Small Duffel Gym Bag.
It’s got a simple design and harnessing that works just ok for its intended capacity. But when it comes to the stitching? We were a bit disappointed with the poor quality. You need extra mindfulness of how much weight you sneak in this small gym bag since the seams can rip pretty quickly. It’s also worth noting that there’s no pocket at all. All your stuff will scramble up in the main compartment.
Price-wise, it’s a steal for around $25. Adidas Diablo won’t be a regrettable choice if you plan to use it one or two times. For long-term durability, you might as well add a few bucks and invest in a more robust gym bag.

Frequently asked questions about Adidas Diablo Small Duffel Gym Bag
If you’re still unsure what to include in your small gym bag for your next training session, here are some of the basics you shouldn’t forget:
- Water bottle
- Antibacterial wipes
- Towel
- Training shoes
- Shower essentials
- Snacks
- Headphones
- Phone
This small gym bag can accommodate 31.5 liters of your items on paper. But with its poor stitching, we don’t recommend that you overload it near or beyond its capacity.
First, make sure that you blot out any beer you can by using a towel/tissue/rag. This way, you reduce the beer in the fabric as much as possible. Then, using a mixture of dish soap and lukewarm water, dab a small amount on the affected area using a sponge. Repeat this process until the stain is gone and manually wash as usual.
In general, you can remove most stains on duffel bags (as long as they’re made of polyester, vinyl, nylon, canvas, or cotton) by using mild detergent and hand-washing them.
Your Diablo Small Duffel Gym Bag comes with a 5-year warranty. If you need repair, you can grab it.
But for other small gym bags, two things you’ll need are seam grip and fabric repair tape. Clean the area around the hole using alcohol and let it dry. After that, apply seam grip and let it sit for at least eight hours. Then cut the fabric repair tape as needed to patch the hole. Peel it and apply. Seal the edges using seam grip and let it dry again. And voila! The hole in your small gym bag is gone for good.
