Description and details
Diving on the Okeanos Xplorer in Egypt
This fantastic liveaboard is 32meters/104.9 feet long, and it has a maximum speed of 12 knots per hour. With a bright and modern interior makes this liveaboard feels alive even at night.
Boat Interior
Okeanos Xplorer can accommodate up to 22 people aboard to its 11 cozy cabins. There are seven twin-bed cabins on the lower deck. The two double-bed and two superior twin-bed cabins are located on the main deck. All rooms have private bathrooms, fresh towels daily and air-conditioning.
Guests can relax after a day of dive at the spacious indoor saloon with A/V entertainment and an outdoor lounge with a nice bar. They can also share their safari photos to their loved ones at home by using the onboard free Wi-Fi.
The huge sun deck is partially shaded, where guests can take a nap or relax while enjoying the lovely view of the ocean.
Restaurant
The saloon is adjacent to the dining area, where guests can also watch movies. Delicious buffet-style meals from local and international cuisines are prepared and served by the onboard chef three times a day. Complimentary drinks and snacks are served all day during the safari. Wine, beer and other beverages are available on board. Vegan, vegetarian and other specific dietary requirements can be requested upon booking.
Dive Deck
The dive deck is spacious, and it has plenty of room for diving preparations. There are personal gearboxes for each diver, charging stations and warm-water showers. Nitrox is free for those with certification and log book. Diving gear and snorkel gear equipment are available to rent. Guests may also choose to rent the full dive equipment complete with U/W photo and video camera. Professional guide dives are well-trained to manage every underwater exploration like the back of their hand.
Itinerary
The staff on board will welcome guests with cocktail drinks upon joining aboard. Short introduction and briefing are given to help each passenger with their inquiries and to provide them with safety instructions.
The itinerary is composed of the most visited spots in Egypt. Ras Mohammed National Park has the best wrecks sites, coral gardens and abundant marine life that divers around the world visit all-year long. The famous wreck areas have thousands of marine life inhabitants, schools of fish, dolphins, mantas, turtles and shark species.
Divers all around the world are captivated by the wonders of St. Johns. It has reefs that are rising above the water with plateaus in between. Drop-offs are covered with huge gorgonians and large black corals. There are pelagic fish like white-tip, gray-tip, thresher and hammerhead sharks.
The Brothers Islands is perfect for island hopping around this peninsula. Liveaboards can only access these islands. Impressive marine life forms and a variety of sharks are spotted here.
The Okeanos Xplorer can give tourists the most unforgettable exploration in any season. The Red Sea is open all-year and guests can enjoy many kinds of water activities. The English speaking staff onboard will provide the best service that Okeanos Xplorer can give. The best time to explore the Red Sea is the autumn season.
