This liveaboard was built in 1972 and was refurbished in 2014 to all of its splendor that you see now today. With this liveaboard, you will get to view the unmatched beauty of the Costa Rican Islands and the abundant underwater landscapes. The Okeanos Aggressor I have a length of 33meters/110ft and a beamwidth of 7meters/24ft. Divers will be pleased to know that the liveaboard has a cruising speed of 10 knots which will make getting to dive spots quicker than with normal vessels.

Diving on the Okeanos Aggressor I in Costa Rica 

Okeanos Aggressor liveaboard

You can prepare yourself for a wonderful dive adventure as soon as you step on this liveaboard. The fantastic climate of Costa Rica will make diving possible all year round. This is why so many pelagic animals are attracted to this area and you can expect to see whales, manta rays, eagle rays, hammerheads, and various shark species. Moreover, the best dive sites are located at Cocos Island’s that has uninterrupted marine beauty.

Interior and entertainment areas

The Okeanos Aggressor has the capacity to accommodate up to 22 guests in ten very stylish cabins. These cabins are air-conditioned and have small port windows in every room. Moreover, the cabins also have en-suite bathrooms with hot and cold showers. Furthermore, in each room, there’s a flat-screen TV, DVD, and closets with ample storage space.

The salon is filled with soft sofas and tables and comes with a mini-library. There is also a large screen TV that comes with an entertainment system that can be enjoyed by guests. The salon has air-conditioning and a personal computer for you to use.

Heading outside is where you will find the sun deck. This is the number one relaxation spot on the liveaboard. On the partially covered sun deck, you will find sun loungers, deck chairs, and an always fully stocked bar. To liven up things they have also installed an entertainment system with a CD/stereo player.

Dive deck on the liveaboard

The dive deck is the pinnacle point of the liveaboard and it’s where all the action takes place. You can expect up to four dives a day which means you will be frequenting the dive deck. You will also do various night dives throughout your trip. Some of the great diving amenities on this liveaboard include Nitrox/air fill stations, gear lockers, large swim platform, rinse tanks, freshwater showers, low-pressure hoses, and a large three-tier camera table.

Food on the liveaboard

You will be spoilt for choice as the food on board the Okeanos Aggressor is plentiful and delicious. Meals are prepared three times a day in a buffet style except for dinner which is a plated meal and may include beef or chicken, seafood, vegetables, salads, and various self-prepared pieces of bread. At the end of the dinner, the chef will serve a delicious dessert that is either local or internationally inspired. Soft drinks and alcohol are complimentary on this liveaboard. If you have special dietary requirements you should inform the US office so that arrangements can be made.

Itinerary on the Okeanos Aggressor I

Okeanos Aggressor has pride itself on taking divers to the most remote and coral-rich destinations in the Costa Rican area. You will do most of your diving in Cocos Island where everything is in abundance except human life. Cocos Island is located about 342 miles of the coast of Costa Rica. A normal dive itinerary will last 4-10 nights with about four dives on a daily basis.
