Description and details
Diving on the Ocean Sapphire in Maldives
Ocean Sapphire was built in 2012 and was specifically designed to provide a luxurious and top-notch Maldives diving experience. It features luxurious and contemporary facilities. It is equipped with a high quality engine and is finished in a warm interior.
The indoor saloon is equipped with an air conditioning unit, a mini library, comfortable sofas and tables, and modern entertainment facilities such as flat screen television, DVD player, computers, and superb stereos. The place is perfect for a chit-chat in between dives or a place to sip a hot chocolate late at night.
Wonderful sun decks are also available on board. Ocean Sapphire has three sun decks located on the lower deck, on the main deck, and on the upper deck. All them are equipped with comfortable tables and chairs, luxurious sun loungers, and a shaded area. On the upper deck, however, a hot tub is installed – perfect for everyone who would love to take a dip while aboard, enjoying the magnificent view of the Maldivian waters and the breeze.
The dive deck is large enough for the guests to prepare their diving equipment and for the after diving care. It has large storage boxes, a drying rack for wet suits, charging ports, and fresh water showers. The dive deck has a platform for the divers’ convenience. Nitrox is also available on board for a fee.
Safety is always a priority. Ocean Sapphire has modern safety equipment that is in accordance with international standards, such as their fire fighting and alarm system, life racks, life vests, and first aid materials. In every cabin and in the salon, a fire extinguisher is available for every guests’ use in case of an emergency.
Ocean Sapphire has 11 spacious cabins that are located on the lower deck, and on the upper deck. All are equipped with modern television sets, comfortable beds, en-suite bathroom facilities, dressers, wardrobes and safes. Seven cabins can be found on the lower deck while the other 4 are situated on the upper deck, which has bigger windows that are perfect to provide a good view of the marina.
The interior of the dining area has a design of a homey vibe but is luxurious at the same time. It is situated on the main deck, with big windows giving a panoramic view of the water. A large dining table is installed, and international dishes are served three times a day in buffet style!
Guests may also enjoy their afternoon snack to fill them up. Light snacks such as biscuits and nuts, as well as beverages (coffee, tea, juice, water, and soda) are also offered throughout the day with no extra charges! Alcoholic beverages are also available for a fee.
Guests may choose to traverse the Central, Southern, or Deep South Atolls of the Maldives with Ocean Sapphire. Each of the locations has its own beauty, for instance, in the Ari Atolls, guests will truly enjoy the rich corals in the site, as well as mantas and hammerheads if they are lucky!
