Diving on the Nemo in Egypt
This beautiful yacht is 31 meters/101 feet long with a speed of 10 knots per hour.
M/Y Nemo is a professional dive yacht operated by the French liveaboard operator
Dune Fleet. It was completed in 2003 and renovated in 2013 with another renovation
following in mid-September 2017.
Boat Interior
This cruise ship can accommodate a total of 22 guests in its 11 comfortable cabins. There are six standard cabins and a VIP suite which is the biggest with extra storage on the lower deck. There are four deluxe cabins located on the upper deck. All cabins have individual air-condition, private bathroom, safety box and storage boxes for clothing. On the main deck, there is a fully air-conditioned saloon with a plasma TV, DVD, music system and a small library filled with marine life books. Two relaxation areas are waiting for the guests at the front and back of the ship. The Front sundeck is open with sunbeds and sofas perfect for sunbathing. At the back of the boat, there is a larger outdoor lounge with a shaded area with benches, tables, cushioned sofa-beds, and a drinking water station.
Restaurant
Adjacent to the saloon is the dining area where buffet-style meals from local and international cuisines are served three times a day. The self-service bar offers juice, tea, water, coffee, and complimentary snacks available throughout the journey. Selection of wines, beer, and other beverages are available for purchase. For vegetarian options and other specific dietary requirements, guests may add their requests upon booking to serve them better.
Dive Deck
M/Y Nemo has a spacious two-floor deck. Personal gearboxes, an in-place fill station, large rinse tanks, and a camera storage area are ready to use after a day of diving. There are fresh water showers, in storage, a shared bathroom and two-speed boats used for diving. This yacht provides free Nitrox for those with a certification and a complete set of diving equipment for rent available upon request. There are a total of 16 dives including night dives for the whole journey. Experienced dive guides are professionally trained to know every dive site like the back of their hands.
Itinerary
M/Y Nemo welcomes guests with complimentary drinks and snacks upon checking in. The dive guides and the crew on board give a mandatory briefing before the journey begins. The itinerary includes the Brothers, which consists of tiny islands. The Little Brother Island has a shape of a raindrop and there are deep walls that surround the island. This remote dive site is one of the best places in the Red Sea for diving with large pelagic fish and different species of sharks. Five minutes away from the Brothers is Ras Mohammed National Park, also known as “The Jewel of Sinai.” This park alone is visited by thousands of tourists and scuba divers annually. Everyone is attracted to the marvelous coral-reef ecosystem and abundant coral species. Hammerhead sharks, tiger sharks, pelagic, mantas, and barracudas are some of the sea creatures tourists from around the world visit. M/Y Nemo welcomes you to come aboard.
