MY Monserrat – a compact sailing motor yacht ideal for exploring the beauty of the Galapagos Islands

The 30 meters (approx. 91 feet) motor yacht was built in 2005 and has been sailing in the turquoise blue waters of the Galapagos since then. It has undergone several renovation processes, assuring to provide a personalized service, comfort, and safety to its travelers without compromising on the performance. The first-class liveaboard offers multiple itineraries of 7 – 10 days, which can be explored with the help of naturalist guides. It swags to be one of the best liveaboards following 8 different routes in the Galapagos. The unique flora and fauna of these places have a new surprise for you with every visit. You can witness the presence of large Galapagos tortoises, giant whale sharks, colonies of colorful birds, and numerous sharks and other fish species. Swimming with the naughty dolphins and fur seals is always a fun-filled experience.

Boat Interior

The alluring Monserrat liveaboard can host up to 20 guests in its 10 cozy cabins. Each cabin is air-conditioned and has a private en-suite bathroom with shower, basin and complimentary toiletries. Plus, there is plenty of storage area and some extra perks like a hairdryer in every stateroom. These cabins are located on lower and upper decks, some of these cabins have portholes, while others have full-size windows so that the guests can enjoy the. Three of these cabins have a double bed occupancy, whereas the remaining seven cabins have lower twin-beds. The communal areas are spacious and feature modern furniture.

Deck Area

The social areas are located on the spacious main deck. Here you can find a bar with high chairs, a large sun deck, and a restaurant-like dining room. The indoor lounge has an ideal space for relaxing with plenty of cushioned sofas, tables, and square pillows to make you feel comfortable. There are both open and shaded areas on the top sun deck. It is well-furnished with sun loungers in the open area to sunbathe in the warm sunny days or to gaze at the starling sky at night.

Food and Entertainment

There are plenty of options for entertainment during leisure time. The air-conditioned environment of the indoor saloon is best for non-divers to spend the time watching movies, listen to music or connect themselves with the world through the internet. There are electronic charging stations where guests can charge their gadgets. To fuel the action-packed dives and the adventurous days on the island, delicious food is prepared freshly by an expert chef. You can have multiple options of western, Italian, and local delicacies served in a buffet. A variety of snacks and multiple beverages are available all day long to ensure that no one stays hungry. Special requests of dietary requirement and food allergies (if any) are also catered.

When to go

Enthusiastic divers prefer planning their trip to the beautiful Galapagos and the cluster of Islands in the 2 main seasons – wet and dry.
