Diving on the MV Ocean Hunter 3 in Micronesia and Palau
The 29 meters (approx. 96 feet) custom-built liveaboard is specially designed by divers for ardent divers, fervent photographers, and specialists. Novice divers can also explore the beauty of the underwater world of Palau with personalized service offered by the urbane and suave crew member of the Ocean Hunter 3. They are extremely professional and assures to offer the utmost comfort and high-standard services to the guests onboard. The spectacular vessel offers diving at the gorgeous archipelago of the Palau, which is famous for vibrant coral formations. You may explore numerous caves, pristine reefs, and drop-offs. The strong currents in vigorous water are the major reason to attract a wide range of fish species including barracuda, house of tuna, crocodile fish, mantas, marble rays and much more. Whereas, you can also explore the wrecks of World War II along with the most famous wreck Helmet. At the wreck, divers can still discover bombs of that time on the deck.
The exquisite vessel Ocean Hunter has enough space to accommodate 16 travelers. There are 3 types of cabins; standard cabins and deluxe cabins, which are located on the lower deck. Whereas, the master cabins along with another deluxe cabin area on the upper deck. Each cabin has an individual air conditioning system with an en-suite bathroom and showers. The indoor lounge of Ocean Hunter 3 has entertainment facilities, which can be availed absolutely free. The communal areas are ideal spots to get relaxed and spend time from back to back dives. There is also a spacious sundeck of Ocean Hunter III, which is well-equipped and has a modern jacuzzi with sun loungers and deck chairs in the surrounding.
The commodious dive deck of Ocean Hunter III has plenty of space for divers to prepare for dive. there are storage boxes for the gear rentals and hanging area to hang wetsuits. The modern liveaboard is equipped with a Nitrox membrane, which can be availed by EANx certified divers. For extra pampering soak yourself in any of the 2 modern Jacuzzis on the sundeck or enjoy spa services in the fresh sea breeze while enjoying the astonishing vistas of the archipelago.
Food and Entertainment
Apart from diving, guests of Ocean Hunter III can enjoy indoor entertainment by watching a movie, grab a book from the mini-library of the vessel. The air-conditioned salon has cozy couches, a/v entertainment, Espresso machine to enjoy coffee anytime, mini-bar and wireless internet service (if in range). The liveaboard offers full board meals as a part of the cruise. breakfast, lunch, and dinner are generously served in buffet with full-day snacks and drinks available at self-service.
When to go
The best time to dive on the famous dive sites of Palau is from November until June. Although Palau welcomes guests throughout the year, the diving conditions are good in this period as the temperature of the water is warm and has amazing visibility. The rainy seasons lasts from May to November and diving conditions may become rough and slightly uncomfortable for beginner divers.
