Diving on the MV Explorer in the Maldives
This liveaboard brought its services in August 2019 that offers an excellent service. It is 42 m/137.79 feet and has top of the line navigation equipment and necessary boat safety gear.
This boat can accommodate 26 guests to its 13 spacious cabins. There are five staterooms with double and single beds and two cabins with a double bed located on the lower deck. There are two rooms on the main deck with double, and single beds. The upper deck has two cabins with double beds and the other two rooms are suitable for sharing or double occupancy. All cabins have individual air-conditioning, private bathrooms and ample storage for guests’ clothing. There is an air-conditioned saloon with audio and video entertainment that has the latest movies applicable for all ages. The fully packed bar has varieties of refreshments and alcoholic beverages that help guests relax under the hot sun while resting at the sun deck with cushioned sun loungers. The spa and Jacuzzi are some of the activities that can be enjoyed together with new friends on board. The upper deck allows viewing the ocean and stargaze at night.
The open-air dining area is located at the stern of the main deck. The chef aboard serves delectable meals from local and international cuisines served in a buffet-style setting. Enjoy the free-flow complimentary drinks and snacks in between meals. Guests can enjoy hot and cold drinks at the bar or during mealtime. Alcoholic beverages and spirits are available for purchase. We strictly observe dietary restrictions to serve guests better. We recommend tourists to list down their specific dietary restrictions on the booking form, and they can always talk to our booking agents.
Our topmost priority is everyone’s safety during the journey. This liveaboard has safety equipment including life vests, life rafts, oxygen, fire extinguishers, and top of the line navigation system. The crew members are well-trained in first aid and can manage any onboard emergencies that might occur.
The dive deck is spacious enough for divers’ preparation area. There are personal gearboxes, outside showers, separate rinse tanks for underwater cameras, camera tables for enthusiast photographers and charging stations for gadgets and devices. Snorkeling is available for non-divers to explore the underwater beauty of the Maldives. Nitrox is free for those with diver’s certification and a logbook. Rental dive equipment and snorkeling gear are available for reservation upon booking and need to be paid on board.
The friendly staff welcomes guests with refreshments and snacks upon checking-in. A short introduction and briefing are given to provide guests with safety information as well as the itinerary plan.
Dive to the most secluded dive sites around the Maldives and capture beautiful channels with magical corals, a variety of sharks, manta cleaning stations, macro wrecks, and pinnacles. Tourists will enjoy a minimum of seven nights of accommodation with six days of diving. Barbecue dinner on the local island is one of the most awaited activities. The Maldives has Sea of Stars on Vaahdoo Island that attracts thousands of tourists all year. The best time to visit the Maldives is from December to May when you can expect dry and sunny days.
