MV Discovery Adventure – luxurious floating hotel with the best service
The 47 meters (approx. 154 feet) purpose-built liveaboard was built in Fiji in the year 1987. It was recently renovated in 2017 massively with a great budget. It cruises at a speed of 7 knots per hour. The splendid liveaboard offers spectacular dive cruise to the world-famous Tubbataha National Park, Philippines and exclusive dives at the World War II wrecks at Palau. During dive at these exotic sites, the ardent diver gets an opportunity to explore vibrant coral (both hard and soft), a wide range of marine life including school of tuna, various shark species, manta and eagle rays, and many other large pelagic. Discovery Adventure also offers diving at Jessie Beazley Reef, where you can encounter many types of sharks including reef sharks and whitetip sharks.
Boat Interior
MV Discovery Adventure has a friendly and courteous crew who wholeheartedly welcome 26 guests and accommodate them in 13 ultra-modern cabins. They are expert and skillful in their respective fields and pamper the guests with professionalism and hospitality. The cabins feature all the vital necessities that are required to make the stay on board comfortable. Each cabin has individual AC and en-suite bathrooms along with storage space. The communal areas of the liveaboard include the indoor air-conditioned salon, which has entertainment system & camera tables, a well-furnished dining area, and a spacious open and partially covered sundeck.
Deck Area
Dive deck of Discovery Adventure has ample space for preparation of dive. It is fully equipped with necessary things to facilitate the diver before plunging in the deep sea. To make diving comfortable and easier, 3 personal tenders of Discovery Adventures are used. For EANx certified divers, Nitrox is available with some extra charges. Divers can rent all needed equipment onboard but it is always suggested to bring your own. To find your own solitude while sailing over the crystal-clear azure water, the spacious sundeck is the perfect spot. Here, you can spend the time in-between dives gazing at the astonishing vistas of the surrounding.
Food and Entertainment
There is much more to expect when it comes to entertainment, whether it is onboard, water or on the land excursions. The cruise director organizes daily activities, which include multiple land excursions, snorkeling, live BBQ on beach and in-house fun-filled activities. The dive instructors are sharp observant and keep an eagle-eye to bring you out water whenever you want. Besides the entertainment activities, the guests of the floating resort are spoiled by the mouthwatering food as a part of their cruise. healthy breakfast with lunch and dinner of international, Italian and local delicacies can be enjoyed with lots of snacks and beverages, which are available all day long.
When to go
The climatic and water conditions are considered best to dive into the iconic dive sites of the Philippines from November to June. Water temperature is slightly warm and the divers can have amazing visibility. However, diving here is possible throughout the year but these months are said as the peak or high season.
