Description and details

Diving on the Moana in Indonesia.

For many divers, Moana will be a dream coming true. Built entirely of teak and ironwood, this liveaboard follows the traditional Indonesian Phinisi style. Aimed to host only ten people, it will be a great escape from big groups, while the crew gives plenty of individual attention. It is perfectly equipped, making it suitable even for the demanding divers. There is a dive deck located right on the stern of the boat, being comfortable for dive preparations. Any additional equipment can be rented on board, while two speedboats will be at your disposal at any time when reaching remote dive sites.

Moana Interior

The 30 meters (around 100 feet) long vessel, built entirely by teak and Ironwood, will host you with five air-conditioned cabins, all equipped with en-suite showers. After the 2015 refurbishing, Moana got a new modern touch, making the cabins fully functional, yet cozy and rustique. All of them are situated in the lower deck, though each cabin is slightly different from the next one. There are three double bed and two twin bed cabins, all containing spring mattresses and being air-conditioned.

The large 90 sqm main deck will give you enough room to dine outdoors, to relax and enjoy the beauty of the night sky. If you are an outdoor lover and decide to sleep under the stars, the crew makes sure there are always blankets available at an arm’s reach. Moana is also equipped with a spacious and comfortable air-conditioned saloon. And if you just want to escape from your friends, there are many other smaller open-air spaces for relaxing.

And just to make sure you feel safe, the liveaboard is equipped with all necessary safety equipment, from first aid kits to life vests and emergency rafts.

Moana’s Cuisine

Moana's crew takes special pride in the food that is being served on board. All fruits and vegetables come from organic farmers, all located around the hills of Labuan Bajo and Flores. Fresh fish is provided from local markets, while top quality meat is flown directly from Balion. While the four daily meals are being prepared to create a perfect blend of international and Indonesian food, the Moala chefs take great pride in preparing them free from MSG or any other additives. The light yet healthy breakfast is served around 6 am. Lunch and dinner switch cuisines as the trip goes by. Around 3 pm it is "snack time", where the crew serves Indonesian snacks.

Itinerary

The Moana liveaboard is ready to bring you diving to the amazing Komodo's bio-diversity year-round. The tours are set on a way so no great dive place is left unvisited. In addition, the crew is happy to offer you a walk near the famous Komodo Dragons. With over 50 sites to choose for visiting, there will be something for any level of diving experience.
