Description and details
Diving on the Golden Dolphin I in Egypt
Vessel Features
The Golden Dolphin I was launched in 2003. Measuring 35 meters in length, this wooden fleet was carefully designed specifically for divers and cruisers alike. It has every essential facility fit for every guest’s needs including spacious cabins, air-conditioned salons, shaded sun lounges, and a spacious dive deck. It is large enough to accommodate a maximum of 20 passengers on board.
The Golden Dolphin I features a spacious air-conditioned salon that is equipped with a television set and other entertainment systems like DVD, stereos, and a computer. Guests may relax at the comfortable sofas in the lounge while having fun with other guests in between dives or during night time.
For sun lovers, they have two sun decks to choose from. The shaded sun deck is located in the lower deck, which is equipped with comfortable tables and chairs. The second one is in the upper deck, unlike the former, this one is open – so guests may enjoy the sun in its full glory! Not to mention the amazing panoramic view of the Red Sea. Guests may enjoy the sun and the view with their friends while lying comfortably in the sun loungers installed.
For divers, they may enjoy the spacious dive deck complete with a platform, storage area for the divers’ gears and equipment, and a hanging area for wet suits. The dive deck is large enough for all the divers to prepare before dives, or clean their equipment afterward. Also, Golden Dolphin I has a Nitrox Membrane and two Coltri compressors on board.
For the safety of the guests, the liveaboard has complete safety equipment on board, including emergency rafts, first aid kit, fire fighting materials, life jackets, oxygen, alarm system, and smoke detectors. in every room and in the salon, each has fire extinguishers installed. All safety equipment are in accordance with international standards.
The Cabins
The Golden Dolphin I features 10 fully airconditioned cabins, all equipped with en suite bathroom facilities and a minibar. There are 8 twin cabins situated in the lower deck, and the other 2 are equipped with queen sized beds located in the upper deck.
Itinerary
Guests can enjoy the beauty of Red Sea with Golden Dolphin I. Guests may opt to navigate to the South to visit the Fury Shoals and St. Johns, or may proceed to the other way to take a trip in the triangle, which includes Daedalus, Elphinstone, and Brothers Islands. The latter is famous for its wide range of soft and hard corals that are lined within its borders; these reefs are home to thousands of marine species, and if you’re lucky, you might get to watch the silvertip sharks and the grey reef sharks in your trip.
For divers with advanced certifications, they may explore the shipwrecks available in the site, such as Numidia and Aida. It needs certification as these dive spots may have current and drifts that are too strong for beginners.
