Description and details
Diving on the Genesis I liveaboard in Thailand
Taking into account the boat’s size, the MY Genesis I has been a pioneer in quality liveaboard diving experiences in the Andaman Sea for the last couple of years. With the MY Genesis I, you can dive spectacular sites such as the Similan Islands, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai and Richelieu Rock.
Boat features
The MY Genesis I has 5 double and 2 single cabins that cater to 12 guests. All cabins are fully air-conditioned with the sea in full view. The liveaboard is custom built for divers and has a camera station, a sizable sun deck along with free nitrox for certified divers. Divers have the choice of a 2-night North Tour, which explores world-famous sites Richelieu Rock, Koh Tachai and Koh Bon, a 2-night Similan Islands itinerary, which visits dive sites such as West of Eden, Elephant Head Rock, Christmas Point and Boonsung Wreck, or a combination of both to create a 5-night ultimate tour. Non-divers and snorkelers are also welcome to join this fun trip.
The crew of this unique liveaboard is well trained and is available to ensure that all your needs are met during the trip. With them at your beck and call, you are poised for a great experience. The meals provided by the crew members of the MY Genesis I are a mixture of local and international cuisine. The boat has an indoor lounge along with a music and movie library. Soft drinks, drinking water, tea & coffee, all meals, snacks, cabin towel, toiletries, diving packages, and land excursions are complimentary.
While safety comes first at all times, fun and enjoyment are extremely important on Genesis liveaboard cruises.
Logistics
The MY Genesis I goes on a cruise to the dive sites from November to April annually. Guests are picked from their hotels and taken to the Tab Lamu pier on the departure date. MY Genesis I departs Khao Lak in the morning and guests dive three times on day one. For those who aren’t particular about diving at the famous Similan Islands or the more challenging Richelieu Rock, Koh Bon, and Koh Tachai, there’s the option of diving at both! The boat combi-package includes twenty dives and a discount. Also, the MY Genesis offers Free Nitrox to certified Nitrox divers. Guests can also take the diving course if they aren’t Nitrox certified. After the third and final dive on Day 3, Genesis returns to Khao Lak’s Tab Lamu Pier, and guests are taken to their chosen destinations.
