Description and details
Diving on the Galaxy Liveaboard in Galapagos
The 35 meters (approx. 115 feet) is categorized as a first-class cruise ship that offers a seamless experience with its outstanding onboard facilities. The 2 powerful Caterpillar engines of 440 HP make the liveaboard strong and stable enough, which allows it to cruise at a speed of 12 knots per hour. The main itineraries include visiting the San Cristobal Island, Espanola Island, Floreana Island, Santa Fe, Santa Cruz and much more. Visiting these exotic sites, you may explore sea lions, a huge colony of seabirds, blue-footed boobies, beautiful flamingos, giant tortoises, and a variety of shark species. You can also enjoy hiking and exploring the gorgeous white-sand beaches on the multiple land excursions. You can also visit the famous Charles Darwin Station while stopping at Santa Cruz Island.
The lavish vessel is well-designed with 9 capacious cabins to accommodate 16 guests with full facilities that offer a high-level of comfort. There is a private bathroom and complimentary toiletries in each cabin. The air-conditioned atmosphere of the cabins, makes you feel like home in utmost comfort. A hairdryer, bathrobes, internal telephone with a safety deposit box are also provided to keep your belongings. These cabins are located on the lower, main and upper deck of the boat. Social areas of the liveaboard include a sun deck, outdoor dining area, indoor lounge, bar, library, and an air-conditioned dining room.
The dive deck of the Galaxy liveaboard has a custom-built diving platform with tanks lined-up and a filling station. This platform gives direct access to the lifeboats and kayaks. There are faucets and a tank for rinsing the equipment and a freshwater shower area for the divers to have a bath after the action-pack dives. The sun deck of the Galaxy liveaboard has plenty of space in an elbow shape. The shaded area of the sun deck is located on the front side, which has lots of space for travelers to enjoy in the fresh sea breeze on the sun lounges and deck chairs.
Food and Entertainment
The gorgeous floating resort has a variety of entertainment for non-divers as well. The air-conditioned lounge has facilities like an entertainment system, mini-library, DVDs, and electronic charging stations. The exclusive Galaxy liveaboard offers plenty of land excursions as part of the cruise. Food is as important as other things on the boat; the chef presents the art and skills in a buffet, with options to choose from international and local delicacies. Each day, a scrumptious surprise waits for you until you uncover the lid.
When to go
Experienced divers consider planning their trip to the amazing Galapagos Islands in the 2 major seasons – wet and dry. It is completely the choice of the vacationers, which seasons they select for exploring the beauty and wildlife of the Galapagos. Shark fanatics prefer going in the months from June to November, as the water is crowded with a variety of thrilling shark species. Galaxy offers vital facilities with 5-star comfort and safety.
