Description and details
Diving on the Eco Blue in the Maldives
Eco Blue is a comfortable, newly-renovated liveaboard located in the Maldives, with a cruising speed of 10 knots, and a top speed of 12 knots. It is 32m (105 feet) long and 10m (32.8 feet) wide. The main concern of Eco Blue is marine protection. As such, during the trip guests are given lots of information about marine conservation types and different fish classes. Being greatly familiar with marine life, guests get a chance to discover various underwater treasures. With a background in fields like recreational diving and nautical skills, dive guides at Eco Blue are highly experienced. Because of this, the liveaboard offers year-round diving to some of the best atolls of Maldives, and guests can choose between four different routes ranging from 7 to 14 nights. The Central Atolls tour is based around Male-Male, stopping at the north and south Male Atolls, Ari Atoll, and Vaavu Atoll. In the summer months, offers include Baa Atoll together with the famous Hanifaru Bay. In case guests have more time, there are also south routes to the remote areas of Thaa and the deep south Atolls.
Eco Blue Interior and Features
Catering to 22 guests divided into 12 cabins, Eco Blue offers a comfortable way to explore the Maldives. Each cabin comes with either double or double and single beds and has an individual AC unit. Each room has individual bathrooms and storage systems as well.
The cozy air-conditioned saloon of the Eco Blue liveaboard is combined with a dining area. It also has an audio-visual entertainment system and a library, great for spending some time in between dives or just relaxing during evenings. There are three outdoor lounge areas with a large sun deck, soft outdoor seating, loungers, and big bean bags. Guests can stay in the shaded part or enjoy the warm sun on the opened part. Eco Blue, in its outside areas, also offers a Lavazza coffee bar, tap beer, and cocktails, perfect for the mesmerizing sunsets.
The meals usually in buffet style have a variety of dishes to suit everyone. Water, tea and coffee are complimentary, while soft drinks, fresh juices, and alcohol are chargeable. Guests can inform the crew for any special dietary requests prior to their arrival.
Eco Blue Dive Deck
Eco Blue has a fully-equipped accompanying dive dhoni where tanks are filled and completely new equipment is stored. The dhoni is perfect for allowing divers to enter the water right above the best dive spots. The new 2017 Bauer air and nitrox compressors, as well as oxygen kits, are always available.
Safety on Board
Safety is something that is always important and prioritized for Eco Blue. Every member of the crew knows this and makes sure guests feel comfortable in any given situation. The liveaboard is equipped with first aid kits, fire alarms, and fire extinguishers, life vests, emergency rafts, etc. Eco Blue also has a team trained in first aid assistance.
