Description and details
Diving on the Calico Jack in Indonesia
CALICO JACK IS A LIVEABOARD RUNNING DIVING SAFARIS AROUND SOME OF INDONESIA'S FINEST REGIONS.
Our splendid classical vessel is perfectly designed for luxury liveaboard adventures, sailing through epic scenery, secluded bays, lagoons, white sandy beaches and tropical islands. Join us for an outstanding journey of discovery and experience intimate connection with people, nature and wildlife.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Newly built in 2014 and refurbished annually, the 30-meter Calico Jack offers every modern convenience to its guests. The yacht was built as a classic Phinisi schooner, adding a local touch to your journey and ensuring the liveaboard can expertly handle the sometimes rough Indonesian waters.
Considering there is a maximum of 10 guests on board there is plenty of room on this classic Phinisi schooner as it cruises Komodo, Raja Ampat and beyond. The yacht has everything you will need and more. During the cruise you’ll have access to two dining areas (indoors and outdoors), a spacious lounge, a sundeck and the dive deck.
The internet is not provided on board, but a satellite telephone is available for emergency use. Divers can lounge in the indoor and covered, open-air dining areas. They might also enjoy the TV and DVD-player found along with comfortable seating in the lounge. A computer and sound system is also provided. Sun-seekers can top up their tan on the spacious sun deck. And during the day, you’ll also be treated to free reign of fishing equipment, kayaks, SUB boards and wake boards.
In addition to these great amenities, two to three excursions are usually offered during each itinerary. While sailing Raja Ampat, you might have the chance to climb Wayang or search for a Bird of Paradise. The Komodo itinerary includes stops at Komodo National Park and remote islands for snorkeling, chatting with the locals or hiking in dense rain forests.
The Calico Jack features There are 5 boutique cabins to choose from: 2 double bed cabins, 2 double or single bed cabins (the double beds can be separated into 2 single beds) and 1 twin cabin. Each cabin is fitted with private en-suite bathrooms, hot showers, air conditioning, as well as individual fans to ensure the comfort of our guests. There is plenty of storage space and 220v charging points which operate 19 hours a day.
