A Practical Solution to Your Daily Drinking Dilemma

Have you ever had a stainless steel tumbler that can withstand any shocks and drops before? If not, check out FineDine’s. On paper, it’s a shatterproof water bottle, but the reality is that if it can’t withstand a dishwashing, it’s not going to withstand long drops on hard surfaces.

But for what it is, it’s perfectly decent water bottle with lids for different occasions or purposes. The hook lid is great for lashing to hiking backpacks, while the straw lid and coffee sipper top is a nice pair of options for roadtrips.

It’s got a typical 18/8 stainless steel double-wall vessel and BPA-free plastic lids. But what caught our attention was the tag and versatility. For at least $20, you get three caps in one purchase!

We made the mistake of putting it in the dishwasher. While it survived, no problem, the outside coating shows signs of protest in some places where it’s worn off a little bit.

But all in all, FineDine’s water bottle seems to survive and perform well!

Construction and Design

FineDine allows you the freedom to choose the color and size of your water bottle. They come in four different ounces: 25, 32, 40, and 64. You can pick from 18 design options too! No matter your personal preference, there’s undoubtedly a FineDine stainless steel tumbler that matches your quirk.

Your single purchase earns you a package of a vessel and three lids- a straw lid, sip lid, and screw cap. It provides you the benefit of versatility- one for ice-cold juice, one for your hot coffee, and one for beverages with solids like fruits (we’ll unrig these lids in a bit).

If you enjoy versatility, you’ll love the FineDine stainless steel tumbler.

FineDine gives the same set package for a price of one like Hydro Cell, Iron Flask, and Thermoflask. Check them out if you want to compare what each water bottle offers.

Construction-wise, it’s made with 18/8 stainless steel, just like most vacuum water bottles. The “triple-insulated” hype will seem really unique, but it only describes what other models didn’t disclose- the copper lining between the walls. It’s the common denominator in almost any insulated product (if not all). It’s the layer that amps up your stainless steel tumbler’s temperature retention.

On the outside, FindDine’s powder-coated shell gives a sleek look and good enough grip. They claim it’s shatterproof, so we expected it to be, but it’s far from the truth. If you drop this stainless steel tumbler, the coating gets easily scratched, and denting is still a problem.

But overall, this water bottle from FineDine has a slightly better build than other models within the same price point.

Three Interchangeable Lids

Take advantage of the three lids that come with this stainless steel tumbler. They’re all BPA-free. No need to wonder if you’re safe while using FineDine. Let’s take a close look at each one.

Sip Lid

Do you believe that coffee is life? Then you’ll love FineDine’s sip lip. Unlike the twist-to-open version like in Hydro Flask 16 oz. where the lid is exposed, it has a press-to-pop cover like CamelBak Chute Mag. You get the benefits of both caps from famous brands in one. There is no need to unclip it open, just a simple press, and you can sip your favorite brew.

What’s nice about this lid–even if it’s clearly not a premium top–is the spring-action opening. It opens with a bit of a pop and makes it easy to drink when driving. Compared to some other similarly priced options like the Ironflask, this one is much better in that respect.

Straw Lid

The ideal cap for your cold drink is the straw lid. It has a rubber tip covering the actual plastic straw, making it more pleasant to sip or suck on. You can remove it for a thorough cleaning and put it back again before use. It’s the same feature we noticed with LifeStraw Go– although that one is only for water filtration. This FineDine cap also has a solid plastic handle. Bring it anywhere, use a carabiner and clip it to your hiking backpack to stay energized throughout your journey.

Some customers complain about how the rubber tip quickly wears out and breaks. But throughout our testing period, we didn’t encounter the same problem. This stainless steel tumbler from FineDine is an excellent companion for your cold refreshment.

Screw Cap

Want to bring some soup to work during the winter season? Maybe you enjoy chunks of fruits in your shake. The screw cap is what FineDine stainless steel tumbler has got for you. The rubberized sides provide a good grip, so opening it is effortless. The solid handle is almost like YETI Rambler, but with a twist. A small section opens like a carabiner, so you can clip/unclip it in a snap.

On a final note, these lids are undeniably very adaptable. Use each as your situation demands. However, we wish that all of them come with a handle/clip combo, plus the rubberized side section for an excellent grip.

But all in all, you can’t whine about anything. You get three super helpful lids. They adjust to your life’s ever-changing needs.

How does it compare to other water bottles?

FineDine stainless steel tumbler promises to keep cold beverages cold for about a day depending on the outside temperature. And amazing enough, we added in some ice cubes and found that they hadn’t melted the next day in moderate weather. That’s the same level of cold insulation we experienced with the more popular brand Hydro Flask 16 oz. With Sip Lid. You can wander through the summer countryside for hours and quench your thirst with a refreshing drink. Camp late at night in hot environs and wake up with unmelted ice cubes in your stainless steel tumbler.

When it comes to hot temp retention, it’s supposed to keep your coffee hot for 8-12 hours. In reality, as you open it and drink from it, heat escapes. That’s bearable if you don’t mind as long as you have something to warm you up on a cold winter morning. But if you prefer piping hot brews, you might want to opt for Klean Kanteen. It’s more effective at insulation.

Comparing this stainless steel tumbler from FineDine with more popular brands, there are subtle differences in the quality of the build. You’ll barely notice it unless you’re a really picky person. The color and size selection of this water bottle is very competitive. You’re not stuck with a fixed ounce with some dull color block. 18/8 stainless steel models are still a more practical choice for long-term use than plastic-, glass- or ceramic-made ones.

The three-lid package is still way more of a better deal than needing to buy them separately. All are easy to use, chemical-free, and durable. The only one you can’t hold by the handle is the sip lid. It can sit in your bag’s side pockets anyways. But if you like a handle on your coffee tumbler, say, you’re rocking a mini backpack or a sling bag, check out CONTIGO Autoseal.

Cleaning FineDine stainless steel tumbler requires you to save time for handwashing. It doesn’t require any special disassembling maneuvers like Hydro Flask 16 oz. does, so that’s nice. Still, it can’t go on your dishwasher’s top rack like YETI Rambler, CamelBak Chute Mag, Nalgene, and Tekeya. If you’re always on the go, take a look at those water bottles.

FineDine is doing pretty well in earning popularity, and its flock of loyal customers like its competitors within the same price point. That in itself speaks for this stainless steel tumbler’s overall performance.

Conclusion

Depending on size, you can have your own FineDine stainless steel tumbler from $18 to $30. It’s not the cheapest, but it’s still an affordable option considering the whole package.

Get a durable and colorful vessel made using 18/8 stainless steel and three BPA-free lids. Use each one as you need: for hot drinks, cold beverages, and ones with chunks like fruit shakes or soup. Temperature retention for colds is up to 24 hours, while it’s 12 hours for hot.

It may not be a shatterproof stainless steel tumbler as it says on paper, but the overall construction of FineDine is still commendable.

Buy this water bottle if:

  • You’re some who enjoy bringing different types of drinks
  • Short on money but want a deal worth the price tag
  • You want a durable stainless steel tumbler

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Where are FineDine products made?

Like most products, FineDine has to outsource production to China to cut manufacturing expenses. You can enjoy a stainless steel tumbler without paying ridiculous money. Have your favorite drink anytime, anywhere using FindDine insulated bottle.

Is FineDine water bottle dishwasher safe?

Nope.

The best way to keep your stainless steel tumbler in its best condition is to wash it by hand. Doing so helps you avoid any dents and prevent the powder coating from fading off. Besides, parts that the dishwasher can’t reach thoroughly can trap particles and harbor bacteria/germs, forming molds. And that’s not safe and fun in any way.

How can I personalize my FindDine stainless steel tumbler?

There are lots of ways to give your water bottle a personal touch. Add vinyl stickers- a logo, your name, quotes, or maybe your favorite character from your favorite show. You can also opt for some painting if you have it in raw stainless color. Laser engraving is also a more sophisticated choice but an elegant one.
