It’s an edge that this 1-liter fanny pack has that other compact belt bags don’t have. See how Patagonia Ultralight Black Hole Mini Hip Pack has a front pocket, but it’s way smaller than the main pocket.
You can sneak in items in both compartments without worrying where your iPhone Pro Max and lip gloss should go.
This Champion fanny pack hugs with thick straps. It also comes with elastic keepers to hold the extra belt out of your way. A cheapish plastic 3-prong clip secures this waist pack.
Yes, you can adjust the belt of this crossbody fanny pack. But the strap adjusters won’t always keep them at your preferred length. It tends to loosen every once in a while.

Now, this crossbody fanny pack from Champion doesn’t have breathable mesh on the back. But! It’s got polyethylene padding. Not only does it work well for insulation, but it’s shock-proof as well. Your items won’t receive immediate impact whenever you jump or run.
That’s something you need to consider if you walk around most of the time. Or you plan to use this waist pack for your Sunday cycling routine.

With equally-spacious pockets, you have more accessible space compared to its 1-liter counterparts. Your iPhone Pro Max can fit in with lots of room left for your cards and keys. No more fully-loaded pockets weighing you as you stroll downtown.
Out for a trip in the woods? Your compact binoculars can sneak in one compartment. Add your hand sanitizer and your Kershaw PT-2 mini multi-tool on the side. Put your phone in the other pocket along with a few bucks, and you’re ready.

How does it compare to other fanny packs?
Champion Signal Fanny Pack used 100% recycled polyester. This fabric is known to be waterproof per fiber, but not once it’s woven into fabric. As a material for bags, apparel, and outdoor gear, polyester has water-resistant properties. It can withstand splashes and light rains. You’ll see this thickness everywhere in the bag.
Except in one place…
You’ll notice that this crossbody fanny pack by Champion has thinner fabric in its front pocket. Remember that it’s vulnerable even to drizzles. If you get caught in light showers or knock over your cappuccino, whatever’s in your front pocket is in trouble.
Again, for the remaining parts of this belt bag, thick polyester rules.
Want a crossbody fanny pack with an extra layer of protection? Opt for Patagonia Ultralight Black Hole Mini Hip Pack. It’s a little smaller and pricier. But it’s made with polyurethane-coated ripstop nylon and extreme weather resistance.
A thin polyester fabric divides the pockets. Even though there’s no lining, it’s soft enough not to cause any scratches on your phone.
Both the two compartments have zips with a single paracord pull. Your crossbody/sling option is only possible by hanging this Champion fanny pack over your left shoulder. Doing it on your right might spill your items as soon as you open it.
The straps of this crossbody fanny pack are also thick. You won’t feel it dig in your skin once it gets a little heavy. Plus, it won’t wear out like how Herschel Fourteen Waist Pack’s strap does.
The stitches are ok but could be better. There are sections where the stitches are a little off, and you’ll see some snagged threads.
