‘Small but mighty’ accurately describes the Adidas Core Belt Bag. At first glance, it might seem like there isn’t much to it — it looks simple and even boring. But there’s more than meets the eye, which we’ve realized when putting it to the test.
This sporty-looking fanny pack is a great accessory for an outdoor hike or a trip that involves taking an airplane. With a 3-liter capacity, it’s compact enough to compliment your movements yet big enough to carry the essentials.
Comparable to other belt bags like Nike Heritage Pack and Champion Signal Fanny Pack, the Adidas Core Belt Bag is just as practical and comfortable to wear. It’s strap is long enough so it can be worn crossbody or around the hips

Where to buy:
You might be thinking — what makes Adidas Core Belt Bag different from other fanny packs? Isn’t it the cotton-built pack just like the other ones that’s been in vogue for the past decade? Not really. Although there are similarities between them all — at the end of the day, they do perform the same function — there are also differences that might make you gravitate towards one or the other.
In the case of the Adidas Core Belt Bag, it’s a stylish exterior combined with a functional interior that makes it stand out. The large Adidas logo and, in the case of some patterns, the large Adidas logo, and a branded webbing gives it an edge. You can pair it with your favorite Adidas sneakers and head out knowing you look fly.
The same applies to the interior consisting of two zippered pockets, a clip-lock closure, and a key clip that, along with the mesh lining, make it a durable and highly-functional accessory. Pack your phone, driving license, keys, and wallet, and you’re ready to go for your 5-mile run or a monthly business trip.

Construction, Design, and Functionality
You don’t need to be an avid outdoor enthusiast or a fitness junkie to enjoy using the Adidas Core Belt Bag. It’s a handy fanny pack to carry with you when you go grocery shopping or run errands around town if you want to avoid bringing a tote bag. It helps that the construction of this pack is favorable to the variety of activities as we’ve concluded when wearing it to pick up kids from school and have a Sunday brunch.
Made from 100% Polyester (or PU Leather if you pick the other option), this pack is as durable as it gets. Frankly, this is the merit of Adidas and its lifelong reputation as a brand that makes high-quality clothing, footwear, and accessories. Even so, we were glad to find out that the material of this Core Belt Bag is on par with the rest of Adidas accessories.
We should also note that the metal zippers didn’t disappoint us either. Although it’s not recommended that you expose them to pouring rain, they’re still likely to remain intact and corrosion-free in case they do get wet.
One issue that affects crossbody profiles is the lack of double zippers. That means that when wearing it over the left shoulder the opening is down and can lead to the contents of the fanny pack spilling out.
But the two pockets make organizing your stuff inside the pack super easy. You can cram the main compartment with bigger items like a phone, a small Bluetooth speaker, and a Tangle Teezer and leave smaller things like a pack of gum and credit cards for the front pocket.
A nice bonus is a key clip you can use to attach not only your keys but also a flashlight, a pocket knife, and even a self-defense alarm. You never know when you might need one of these items, so it’s always beneficial to have them on hand at all times.
There’s also a clip-lock closure on the webbing that allows you to adjust the length of the strap. Whether you want to wear your Adidas Core Belt Bag across the body or as a waist pack, you can make the strap shorter or longer. Talk about comfort!
Keep in mind that this fanny pack isn’t as spacious as some of the other belt bags or sling bags on the market. If you need a larger bag that would also fit your water bottle and a lunch box along with a pack of wet wipes, you’ll be better off with the Kavu Rope Sling Bag. It’s much bulkier, but you get a lot more space for all the extras you want to bring on a hike in return.
Final Thoughts
Adidas Core Belt Bag is a reliable accessory for those looking to invest in a small fanny pack that would last a long time. It might not be the most spacious belt bag with plenty of pockets, but it’s roomy enough to accommodate you on short trips, weekend hikes, and daily walks.
It’s made from durable fabric that can withstand various outdoor activities and lays flat when not used, making it an undemanding belt bag to pack. If you know that you’ll be using it when you arrive at your destination, feel free to store it in your carry-on. But avoid throwing it in the washing machine to prevent it from getting ripped.
Don’t be afraid to pack it to the brim either — we found that it’s very hard to make it appear bulky no matter how many items you manage to fit in it. Just make sure the zipper closes properly.
