Liveaboard Review

The Sea Wolf was built in 1979 and was renovated with the latest amenities in 2019. The liveaboard has a length of 111ft/34meters and a beamwidth of 19ft/6meters it also has a total deck area of 17ft/5.4meters large and 13ft/4.2meters long. It has an incredible top speed of 16 knots and an equally impressive cruising speed of 12 knots. The liveaboard obtains these speeds by using 3 Diesel 600Hp each, engines. This liveaboard will take you to magical Malpelo which is considered one of the best shark diving locations in the world.

Diving on the Sea Wolf in Panama and Columbia 

Sea Wolf liveaboard

The Sea Wolf liveaboard is in immaculate condition and has enough space to make your stay on the liveaboard as comfortable as possible. You will get to venture out to the fabulous Malpelo Island that is one of the world’s famous shark diving sites in the world. Besides sharks, you will also get to see schools of fish, dolphins, humpback whales, manta rays, and silky sharks. Divers should take note that the area has strong currents and an open water certificate will be required.

Interior and entertainment areas

The Sea Wolf can house up to 21 guests in eight unique cabins. You will have a variety of cabin choices that you can choose from that include twin, double, triple and quad cabins. There are also en-suite, shared bathrooms and air-conditioned cabins.

Relaxation & leisure areas on the Ferox

There are various leisure areas throughout the three decks. The sun deck is a popular space for guests as it many chairs and loungers for soaking up some sun. There is also a hot-tub that you can use to warm up after a dive or in the evening under the thousands of stars. People tend to gather in the salon as well as there are lots of comfortable sofas and a big-screen Televisions for your viewing pleasure.

Dive deck on the liveaboard

The dive deck is the main area on this liveaboard because guests specifically come for the diving opportunities. This area has been designed to allow divers ease of access from entering and exiting the water. Two inflatable zodiacs will take you to the various remote diving locations that cannot be reached by the liveaboard. The amazing crew will also be on standby to give you a helping hand.

Food on the liveaboard

The food on the Sea Wolf will be some of the best of you have ever tasted. It consists of some of the best Columbian dishes and international flavors. You will be served three meals a day along with various snacks throughout the day. They also serve vegan and vegetarian options and you should give notice at the time of your booking.


Explore some of the best diving sites in Columbia with the Sea Wolf. A normal dive itinerary will last 3-9 nights with varying destinations. Some of the destinations to look forward too is Malpelo Island and is the go too if you want to see various pelagic animals.
