Liveaboard Review

The Red Dhow is one of the few liveaboards that operate in the Oman region. This liveaboard was constructed in 2003 and undergoes yearly maintenance to ensure it operates flawlessly. The Red Dhow has a length of 72.2ft/22.2meters and a deck area of 49ft/15meters. It has a top speed and cruising speed of 10 knots due to a Yanmar engine. Some of the amazing dive sites you will get to visit are in Musandam Peninsular and you will get to see mola-mola, schooling jacks, leopard sharks, eagle rays, whale sharks and various other fish species.

Diving on the Red Dhow in Oman

The journey begins at Dibba port and as you go on a six-day diving adventure that will be full of magical moments. The attentive and knowledgeable crew will ensure that all your needs are taken care of and that the boat is in immaculate condition. What’s more, the dive masters will find the very best diving locations that are filled with wonderous marine species and vibrant coral reefs.

Interior and entertainment areas

On the Red Dhow, you will be treated like a king with eight magnificent cabins that house up to 14 guests. Two cabins come with en-suite facilities that have hot and cold showers. Moreover, the six other standard cabins share three bathrooms. All of the cabins are fitted with individual climate control and have power points and reading lights.

For some entertainment, you can watch movies in the salon area that comes with air-conditioning and is fitted with comfortable sofas. What’s more, the upper deck is the communal area of the boat and is spread out with sun loungers and chairs with a green mat that resembles grass fitted on the ground. There is also a dining area outside for al fresco meals while the gentle sea breeze blows through your hair.

Dive deck

The dive deck is designed to allow divers to easily enter and exit the water without any hassle. You will find steps that lead to the dive platform where you will be greeted by your divemaster which will always be nearby. There is also Nitrox and rental equipment on this liveaboard.

Food on the Red Dhow

From traditional Oman cuisines to exotic International dishes are just some of the diverse dishes you can expect on the Red Dhow liveaboard. All of the ingredients are freshly sourced by the chef to produce the best tasting meals three times a day. You will also be offered snacks throughout the day to keep up your energy levels for the vigorous diving.
