Liveaboard Review

Rags II is essentially a boat made by divers, for divers! It is a traditional Philippine banca boat that measures 27 meters (88.5 feet) long and 4.5 meters (14.76 feet) wide, making it quite the stable platform for diving. But that’s not all – Rags II comes with all the amenities a diver needs to be comfortable while out on the sea. This charming but functional boat has four air-conditioned cabins, which can accommodate two guests each. This boat will take you to the magnificent diving spots in Palawan, but before reaching your destination, you can always relax on the sun deck and have your dose of Vitamin D. At night, take the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful night sky of the Philippines.

Dining and Onboard Facilities

The vessel’s main communal space is a combined dining and lounge area. The area is big and comfortable enough to hold breakfasts, luncheons, and dinners, as well as for entertainment purposes. As for the dishes, the chef will prepare a mix of Philippine and Western meals often made from the day’s catch, so expect local seafood for each meal. For vegetarian passengers, you can always inform the crew before your scheduled trip so they can prepare your meals according to your dietary specifications. Rest assured, all the meals prepared on board are fresh, healthy, and scrumptious.

If you prefer the outdoor views, you can always dine out on the sun deck just at the front of the vessel. It offers picture-perfect views and is the best way to bask in the glorious rays of the sun or see the twinkling stars at night.

Along with Coron and El Nido, the Apo Reef is also included in the itinerary.

There are several types of dives possible on the Rags II, such as wreck diving, reef diving, and there’s also cavern exploration. Needless to say, every type of diver definitely has an option and will be happy to hop on board the Rags II.
