Diving on the M/Y Orion in Egypt
This yacht is built in 2017 and entirely made for divers. It is 38 meters/124.6 feet in length and is complete with amenities for scuba diving and other activities on board. Guests will never experience any dull moments while on the cruise.
Boat Interior
M/Y Orion can accommodate a total of 26 guests to its 13 comfortable cabins. The lower deck has nine cozy twin rooms. There are two on the main deck and two more on the other deck. All cabins have their own air-conditioning and en-suite bathrooms. Housekeeping is provided as well as fresh towels daily. The indoor saloon has A/V entertainment with the latest movies, good for passing the time after a day of diving. The outdoor lounge has a bar with refreshing drinks, which is great to enjoy the ocean view. Sun lovers can enjoy the shaded sun deck and the open area with cushioned sittings on the top deck and flybridge.
Restaurant
The spacious saloon is adjacent to the dining area. The restaurant serves three meals a day and a scheduled cocktail party. The chef aboard prepares buffet-style meals from various dishes from local and international cuisines. Guests can also celebrate their special day by providing the details upon booking. The self-service bar with coffee and tea making machine is available all day with complimentary drinks and snacks. Alcoholic drinks and other beverages are available for purchase.
Dive Deck
The huge dive deck has enough room for divers with a shaded diving area and individual gear storage. Outside showers and rinse hoses are ready to use for rinsing as well as equipment maintenance. Nitrox is free for those with certification and log book. Rental of dive equipment and full gear with a dive computer can be reserved upon booking. This vessel has complete necessities for boat navigation and safety facilities. Dive guides and staff on board are trained to manage any situation in case of an emergency.
Itinerary
The crew members will give a warm welcome and cocktails together with snacks to guests joining aboard. A mandatory briefing and introduction will be given to guests to answer all their questions. The itinerary includes Ras Mohammed National Park with a perfect combination of the Red Sea dive sites. Daedalus offers the most fantastic dive sites with sheer walls covered with coral formations and abundant ocean fish. There are many predator fish, oceanic white-tip, threshers, hammerheads, and grey reef sharks that can be seen in almost all the dive spots.
Elphinstone is known for unpredicted ocean currents that give divers an extra challenge when exploring this spot. Shark points filled with plateaus allow divers to see hammerheads. Brothers Island is a perfect place to visit pelagic species as well as a variety of sharks. The island is surrounded by deep walls, plateaus, colorful corals gardens, huge gorgonian fans and schools of fish.
