Komodo National Park has many islands waiting to be explored, and it offers many activities for every visitor that comes. Diving on the MV NusaTara in Indonesia
This incredible boat is 20.4 m/ 66.9 feet with a total speed of eight knots with the latest safety equipment and navigation gear to secure every voyage. It is part of Grand Komodo’s fleet that gives excellent service for divers and provides ocean experience for dive guides as a training ground.
Boat Interior
This vessel can welcome a total of six guests to its three comfortable cabins on the lower deck which have private bathrooms, individual air-conditioning, drawers for clothing and necessities for every guest. Daily housekeeping gives the convenience of prepping that allows passengers to have extra time for relaxing inside their rooms. The air-conditioned lounge with audio and video entertainment has the latest movies to enjoy with friends and family. The small library is filled with magazines and marine life books suitable for everyone who would like to know more about the ocean ecosystem. Photographers can review their photos and videos at the camera station. Also, there is a charging station for U/W cameras and other electronic devices. The sun deck is suitable for sunbathing and viewing the sunset while drinking cold beer.
Restaurant
The chef onboard serves delectable meals from a variety of local and international cuisines together with complimentary drinks and snacks in between meals. Guests can enjoy buffet-style meals perfect for socialization and interaction among other guests. There is a scheduled barbecue party on an island or onboard. Alcoholic beverages and spirits are available on purchase. We encourage guests to add their dietary requests upon booking as we observe dietary requirements to accommodate every meal for guests’ specifications.
Dive Deck
The dive deck is spacious enough for all divers on board. The dive platform has all the necessary equipment needed before and after every dive such as freshwater showers, shaded diving areas, and tenders for diving. There is a separate rinse tank for underwater cameras and dive equipment. Non-divers can explore the wonders of the ocean through snorkeling and fishing. Rental dive equipment and snorkeling gear are available upon reservation, and guests need to pay the rental gears onboard. Divemasters speak English and Indonesia, guests may inquire for another language upon booking, or you may also talk to our booking agent to assist you better.
Boat Safety
The management prioritizes safety and this boat has navigation, and safety equipment such as life vests, first aid kits, satellite phones, and fire extinguishers. The crew members are trained to give first aid and can manage any situation that might occur onboard.
Itinerary
The staff onboard serves guests with welcome drinks and snacks upon joining aboard. A short introduction and briefing are given to provide guests with safety guidelines and an itinerary plan.
Secluded island dive spots are included in the itinerary which has stunning scenery on land and underwater. There are thousands of healthy marine life and exotic animals that reside in Komodo National Park. Amazing sharks, schools of barracudas, coral gardens and pelagic fish await every enthusiastic photographer. The best time to visit Indonesia is during the dry season between May and September.
