Diving on the Endemic in Galapagos
The Endemic catamaran is one of the youngest liveaboards out there, being built in July 2018. The outer design is sleek, streamlined and fairly attractive. The gentle curves of the hull and decks make the Endemic to look like it is part of the unique Galapagos ecosystem. With a length of 35m (115 feet) and a beam of 14m (45 feet), the Endemic offers luxury cruises to the Galapagos archipelago. Its itineraries vary from 3 to 7 nights in length. The main theme of these cruises is to explore isolated islands and visit remote visitor points, all in search for unique wildlife endemic to the Galapagos Islands.
A typical day aboard one of these luxury cruises might include a morning expedition, getting close to soaring Frigate birds or snorkeling with sea lions. This is followed by a delicious lunch, and then there is an afternoon up close with penguins and tortoises. The day is wrapped up with a gourmet dinner and drinks whilst enjoying the sunset. Two platforms at the back of the yacht allow for easy entry into the water. Tenders, wetsuits and snorkeling gear, along with an expedition bag, are all included in the price guests are paying. In addition, the use of sea kayaks and paddle-boards is also included.
Endemic Interior and Features
The Endemic is able to carry 16 passengers and provide a service ratio of almost one to one. 8 golden panoramic suites are ready to provide the perfect comfort, located on the main and upper deck. All of them are typically much larger than old-fashioned single-hulled yachts cabins, being created by professional designers with shipboard experience. Each spacious cabin has a private en-suite bathroom, individually controlled AC, and a small area with a sofa-bed, desk, closet, and drawers. On top of this, these cabins have their own private balcony, offering a wonderful panoramic view. Guests can also enjoy elegant and wide-open social areas, including a main deck interior lounge, as well as a dining area with cutting edge interior and panoramic views where delicious cuisine is served while enjoying the stunning island views. The main deck is also decorated with an observation platform, as well as a lecture room, where most of the briefings are held.
In the stern of the ship, guests can find two non-slip access platforms, reception area, expedition gear storage rooms, and a snack counter. The upper deck, on the other hand, has a sun terrace and a secluded social area, excellent for relaxation and wildlife observation. In case some of the guests are celebrating a special occasion, the crew is happy to arrange private settings so the occasion is celebrated in style. Alfresco dining is available on the sky deck, in addition to the exterior lounge, jacuzzi, BBQ station, and sun lounging area. In addition, a food elevator for warm and fresh meals is always in service. This can be the perfect place to relax in the evening whilst enjoying a drink or two.
